“Always a well stocked location. I keep it clean. It’s a good location. The only complaint I’ve ever had is that there are a few cashiers and ones that are there always seem to take too long and don’t seem to know what they’re doing. It’s simpler to go through the self check out even if you have to wait twice as long.”

“Review of North 40: The Walmart of Wrenches and Wagon Wheels
If Ace Hardware and a Bass Pro Shop had a baby in a barn and raised it on beef jerky and diesel fumes, you’d get North 40. Walking in, I wasn’t sure if I was about to buy a new axe handle, get my fishing license, or be recruited into a militia.
Need screws? There’s an aisle with 800 bins and a guy named Gary who appears when you say “lag bolt” three times into a mirror.
The employees are friendly in that “I’ll help you find what you need and recommend the best brand of tractor grease” kind of way. They know things—like how to sharpen a chainsaw while holding a Slim Jim in your teeth. It’s unsettling. And impressive.
You could go in looking for a rake and end up outfitted for elk season, backyard welding, or possibly the apocalypse.
North 40—come for the hardware, stay because you got distracted by the ammo sale and now your truck is blocked by a forklift hauling cattle panels. 10/10, would accidentally spend three hours there again.”
