Cowlitz River Lodge offers comfortable, clean rooms in a quiet and convenient location near Mount Rainier National Park, ideal for hikes and skiing. Some guests find the rooms smallish or the value overpriced. The lodge's rustic look is appreciated. Services include available camping, shower facilities, and laundry, though amenities like washers can be limited. While some staff are friendly, the man at the front desk is frequently described as not friendly and unwelcoming, making guests feel inconvenient. Despite this, many would stay again for the comfortable beds and great location.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is situated close to restaurants, breweries and a coffee shop. An added bonus was a herd of elk that wandered across the lawn at night and in the morning.

this is a great place to stay. we spent four nights there. the town had a lot to offer. very convenient to mount rainier national park

The front desk lady and maintenance man (I am so sorry I can’t remember y’all’s names for the life of me) were so welcoming and nice. Legit the customer service alone makes me want to come here again on my next trip.
