“We had an amazing stay at The Bishop Hotel! The beds were super comfortable and the suite was really spacious. The hotel has so much historic charm, which makes it feel really special. The lobby is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, and sets the tone for the whole stay.

The staff are all lovely, and special thanks to Ayla, who was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for us.

The bottle shop was such an unexpected highlight, I wasn’t expecting to see allocated wines from my favorite winemaker in Umbria in PT! Such a unique and fun selection.

Overall, The Bishop Hotel is the perfect mix of comfort, character, and thoughtful hospitality. Highly recommended!”

“The perfect romantic weekend getaway from Seattle, can't recommend this place enough. It was so beautiful and situated in the perfect location (close enough to town to walk, but out of the way enough to relax). Breakfast was delicious and everyone we met at the property was so kind. We needed a couple of things during our stay, an iron and toothpaste, and they were brought to us so quickly. Truly a one of a kind experience and worth every penny!”

“I found myself with an unexpected need to spend the night with my dog in Port Townsend due to a ferry cancellation. I looked around for dog friendly lodging and one of the hotels was The Swan. I didn't need to look any further after speaking with Judy at the front desk. She was very kind and understanding, and allowed me to look at the available room to make sure it would work for me prior to booking. The location is great (near the marina and ferry dock), and the room was comfortable and very clean. I also REALLY appreciate their commitment to the environment by responsible hotel practices, and that they're dog friendly (in a few dedicated rooms). I needed to leave very early the next morning (thankfully, the ferry was back to normal schedule) and was disappointed I couldn't stay a little longer to explore PT. It was long enough to know that I will be back sooner rather than later, and The Swan will more than likely be where I stay! Thank you for being so great, especially you, Judy!”

“What a fun place. It’s an old building that has its quirks, but nothing to diminish its rating. We stayed in the Commander Suite and if you like views, light and plenty of cross ventilation this room is perfect. You get a clear view of the water and all the boating activity. You also get the wonderful sounds of the waterfront. You can walk 30 steps to the water if you just want to play in it. Breakfast was delicious. Also, you are in easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shopping. But you are not on the noisy downtown streets. We’ll go again.”

“We stayed 3 nights in cabin 10, the blue cabin. Our stay started with a lovely tour from Jenn, one of the owners. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, with a beautiful view of Discovery Bay. We loved the beach access/path, availability of outdoor games, and the heated pool (although we didn't play games or use the pool, we appreciated the availability of them). The location is great for checking out Port Townsend and Sequim. Our cabin was cozy and had everything we needed-coffee, a nice shower and bathroom, a cozy bed (although the bedframe was a tad noisy every time you roll over-only a small complaint which was shared with the owner on our comment/check out sheet). We loved hanging out in the Adirondack chairs on our deck, enjoying the views. We hope to return again one day!”

“Love the location of how quiet and quaint it is. Don’t mind the stairs at all since our kids love it and we count that as exercise for us but would not recommend for people with bad knees. Views are spectacular though. We stayed here multiple times as owners. They have updated all units. The pool and game room is also a lot better now as well. Internet works great along with adequate free tv channels. Bring your own chromacast if you want Netflix and Hulu. Unit was clean and we had a bit of trouble with our fireplace and Eric helped us with turning it on quickly. Julie and Adrian was also quick in responding our texts. Checking in was also a breeze! I love discovery bay! It’s our go to yearly. Please tip housekeeping everyone! ?(bring change since front desk can’t give change out for tips)”

“Mary at the front desk was my angel! Showed up on busiest weekend of the year and somehow got a room. She also helped me flag the one cab in town (Ivan) given there’s no Lyft/uber. Pointed me in the direction of great coffee, and the only way out of town without a car lol. Seriously above and beyond. Got room 17 which had a beautiful view of the water, great bedding for my bougie taste. Not the fanciest room (hence not 5*), but location, view, and bedding made it wonderful and up to a 4! And Mary is the best!”

“I am rating the Valley View Motel with 5 stars for its nostalgia, location, and value. Holiday Inn Express, it is not. The proprietor was a pleasure to meet and did a great job keeping our cottage clean and well equipped. It's located as a perfect gateway to the Olympic Peninsula at the crossroads of Highways 101, 20, and 104, with access from Olympia, Bremerton, Port Townsend, and Port Angeles in various directions.”

“Wonderfully large 2 queen bed room with pullout couch. Real view of Admiralty Bay with a small channel to the fish canery next door. Steps from the walking beach. Room has been renovated with new shower surround, curved curtain rod. And quiet - the inn is on a street ser back from the main street so do not hear the traffic. New screen on the sliding window, and the sill is wide enough for my cat to rest on. Easy check in, abundant supplies in room. Stayed here last year.”

“The Port Townsend Inn is a budget motel and it has been around a while. However, we had an enjoyable stay and were comfortable in our room and the area. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was nice because it was a couple of hot days. There was ample parking, and the motel was within half a mile of the charming downtown area. This is well within walking distance for us, but if you choose to drive there are lots of parking options closer, and you can catch a ferry downtown. There were many dining options, including pizza, Thai, homestyle, breakfast, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. Lots of shopping and art shops, also.

The check-in process was easy, and the staff were nice. Although the carpet on the walkway outside the doors was worn, housekeepers were cleaning the lighting fixtures and dusting under the walkway roof, which tells me they care about keeping the environment clean. The carpet and fixtures in our room were in good shape and worked well. The pool and spa are out of commission because they are doing renovations, but there is a nice green area downstairs from the pool building, which was good for our dog to stretch his legs and relieve himself.”
