Firstly, the facility is beautiful, but the people were the best part.
Everyone was friendly to the guy traveling from out of state, I'd never done a walking course (my new favorite thing) and I got lots of positive feedback and guidance.
Jason even went as far as to offer to let me camp overnight on the parking lot before I continued on my journey! Every member I spoke to was wonderful and very helpful. Looking forward to visiting again soon”

“Love the coaches here. They focus on technique, giving grace to their opponents, and about sportsmanship. My kids all went there for wrestling. They are a Christian based program and I love that there is a Bible study the last 15 minutes of class. (Which us optional) They are competitive, but never put an athlete down if they lose.”

“I've been a member here for years and come five days a week, and I still think it's one of the best values in Pierce County. The weight room was recently redone and it shows: six full squat racks with deadlift platforms, plenty of plates, and a turf area for sled pushes and carries. You rarely wait for a rack, and when you do, people are quick to offer to work in. The culture on the floor is what keeps me coming back. It's serious lifters and beginners side by side, everyone racks their weights, and nobody is there to show off.
Beyond the weight room, the facility has everything: a great pool, a full schedule of classes, and pickup basketball that runs most evenings, with Saturdays being the best games in the area. The staff are friendly, know the regulars by name, and keep the place clean and running smoothly.
What sets this Y apart, though, is what it does for the community. Kids have a safe place to spend their afternoons, and families can participate regardless of income. I'd honestly keep paying my dues even if I stopped coming, because this is an organization that does real good for the people around it. If you're looking for a gym, this one is better than most. If you're looking for a place that actually makes the neighborhood better, this is it. Not a gym designed to make profit but to serve the community.

Seems to me it's kinda like a Thrift store & Big Lots without a grocery section.”

“I am from out of state and had a big emergency. My daughters contact ripped in half and she didn't want to wear her glasses for the pics for the special event we made the trip for. I tried a couple other places there in town and wasn't able to get her help. It just amazes me how helpful and understanding they were to our situation, so kind!!! They made me want to move out there but really if I do, you would be our clinic if you would have us. Thank you for the amazing save that day. My daughter was happy, so I was happy too.”
