“AJ and Dean are awesome! Getting back into mountain biking and decided to check this place out. Best decision I’ve made in a while!
Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, even found a bike for my wife!
AJ was even kind enough to compare 2 different bikes for me, doing research to give me his opinion to make sure I chose the right bike for me.
If you are looking for a REAL bike shop that wants to make sure you enjoy bikes as much as they do - look no further. ?????”
“We have gone in here twice now to get some help with an old bike. They were very friendly and helped without hesitation. I definitely recommend checking them out and giving them ur business.”
“Kim and team made the upgrade to the Domane AL5 Gen 4 easy as possible
She was very patient with me and was able to source the bike locally.
Made sure to explain the differences from the old Crossrip Comp and left me with a wonderful upgrade experience
Thank you :)”
“My son’s electric bike had a flat tire that wouldn’t hold air. We tried so many things to repair it ourselves and finally decided to let a pro handle it for us. We are happy we found this spot. Chris helped us right away and we were outta there quick! We found our bike repair shop and hope will too. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended! My son’s brakes are not properly working so will be going in again soon!”
“The staff was nice, knowledgeable, and dedicated. The store is open for limited hours (Noon to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday) due to the all-volunteer staff of bicycle fans. It's worth working your schedule to arrive during their hours.Very convenient location to ride your bike to, along Hiawatha Street, connecting Dearborn to the I-90 bike route.”
“Bought my VeloTransit backpack nearly 10 years ago now before moving to Europe. It's been my daily cycling pack, my go-to travel bag and everything in between. The most unreal quality & performance, one of the best purchases I've ever made.”
“Dale is such a friendly fellow and quite willing to negotiate. I recently traded my old Trek 7700 in at Dale's shop and got a used Sun Seeker recumbent, which I am enjoying immensely. I've had the Sun Seeker about two weeks and have put over 120 miles on it.
Don't let the eccentric appearance of the inside of the shop put you off. I don't know if Dale was rearranging the place but things were kind of tossed helter skelter. No matter, chatting with Dale will put you at ease.
I am more than satisfied with my transaction with Dale and would recommend his shop to anyone.”
“Aaron fixed my son's 3 speed SRAM hub which is no longer supported by the company, price was reasonable and turnaround and by mail option was great. Thanks Aaron!”
“The guys who work at 2020 are genuinely so kind and helpful. If I have a question about how to fix something on my bike, they often teach me how to fix it myself! I never feel like I’m asking dumb questions. I’m a big fan of this place.”
“I don't have much to add to the other reviews, but this place was great. Tyler and Robert worked hard to find a bike that fit my budget and parameters, and made sure to have me (and my son!) test out each bike. (They also let my 5 year old hang out at the shop and cannily bribed him to get him on the bikes!)
They were really focused on making sure that I walked out of the shop with a bike that made sense for me and my family.
Great investment. I ride the bike just about every day for commute + kid dropoff. So much better than being in a car.”
“Treat your bike shop as you would your primary care doctor: seek expertise first and foremost, build a history for optimized long-term care, and—if you’re lucky—enjoy some proper bedside manner too.
I’ve found this at Mello Fellos, a recent growth from Jesse and Andy’s nearby OG shop MTB Repair where I’ve dropped in for simple, pre-bike adventure consultations and a tool here and there.
The new shop is awesome—they still have rad swag, and their mechanic, Jon, has done some amazing specialty work on my bike—repairing a fork warped by careless baggage handlers, and converting my stock wheelset into a tubeless setup. A bike genius, he speaks in metaphors and can explain complex lingo into relatable concepts.
Great work and on time, with fair, transparent pricing locks me in. Getting as excited about my bike as I do makes me want to return often for cosmetic procedures and preventive care.
Highly recommend the good doctors at Mello Fellos ?”
“I have been going to Gregg’s since I was a kid. The quality of service has always been very high, whether it was getting fitted for and buying my Heckler in the early 2000s, getting my Schwinn Sting Ray and Peddle Power BMX bikes serviced in the mid to late ‘70s, or building my Tarmac. I always get treated like royalty and it’s a pleasure doing business with them.”
“I diy’d myself into a corner. I’d never been to Center. I was an early walk in and my bike was done the same day. Excellent service. Fun to browse their inventory - they have a lot of bikes for a wide range of riders. Glad I found these folks.”
