Parishioners are welcoming. Most notably, the choir lifted our prayer to an even higher level. They harmonized beautifully & sang with the kind of energy & joy befitting of Hallelujah & Holy Holy Holy!!”

“My long distance boyfriend came to visit me for the week of July 22, 2024. He lives in the SF Bay Area and for the past 6 months has been going to a weekly Sunday Buddhist gathering and learning about Buddhism. Because of his high interest, I bought a book he is reading and loves called "Complete Idiot's Guide to Buddhism" so I can also learn and grow. I've just begun reading it, but so far I'm enjoying it quite a lot and highly recommend it.
We spent about 45 minutes wandering and admiring the grounds and respectfully didn't enter any buildings, but couldn't really tell if any monks were present.
The alter area was beautiful and we left an offering of appreciation that we do hope gets to the monks. Sadly, there were no monks present, that we saw anyway, to give us a tour and maybe a talk about Buddhism and what the monks do at the center, but it was Friday afternoon when we were there and they might not have been there or have been inconspicuous doing other things.
The peace and tranquility of the place was so welcomed. I felt lighter and rejuvenated just being there and look forward to going back.
The temple is located on Macadam (pronounced mac-adam, not mac-addum) Road, a winding, part residential, part forest-y area. And just as you round one of the bends in the road you'll see the shiny gold temple and multiple colored flags flying.”
“My fiance attends regularly and knows little English, and he's provided with a translator through a headset. He has tried many churches before settling down here. He hopes to be baptized here. He loves scripture and loves Jesus. I've came along a few times and it's a small group which I appreciate and really enjoy the Pastor.”

During my visit I joined the evening meditation session—simple yet powerful—and felt a calm settle into my mind and body. The temple’s inclusive approach (open to all, irrespective of background) was truly meaningful.

“I was born in Seattle and this church has been here my entire life. My parents married here, I was baptized here and we had my mother’s funeral here. I’m an omnist but it’s nice to know there’s still family oriented churches in the heart of capitol Hill. Lots of history. I hope this church remains in this location for another 50 years.”

“First visit to the Riverton Park food bank facilities. Signage as to directions to the food bank area not clear. Also, there's a drive-thru lane which isn't explained on the website or printed material.
Waited in the hot sun in line for at least 20-minutes. An elderly gentleman fainted twice while waiting in line. Would be beneficial for those on foot to have a covered walkway.
Will try the drive-thru lane next week as the walk in service is rather slow. Not certain if the drive-thru lane offers similar products/produce as information is not provided.
Still recommended. Any establishment offering aid to the needy is blessed.”

“It is a Community Center . Have Basketball & Volleyball court . Church Service every Sunday morning at 11am. Children's activities by the Salvation Army Corp. they do a feeding program Monday -Friday from 5pm - 6pm.”
