Shade is plentiful, making me feel this is more of a summer place to camp then spring or fall. Beach has nice views, is large, very rocky and full of shells. Difficult to walk for me because I use forearm crutches. She’ll covered rocks make the stones appear sharp.
I still like the park and staff is helpful and considerate.
Playground: There is at least one small playground.
Toilets: Restrooms with showers are available in camping areas and day use areas. They are kept clean.
Dog-friendliness: It appears dog friendly. Many people bring their dogs.
Picnic area: Picnic tables are plentiful and appear to be in good shape.

Overall great park. Pretty views, "pretty cool hiking trail"- my wife, & I found a walking stick that I used throughout our whole time there. Highly recommend.
Playground: Fun playground. A Grown man is able to do pullups comfortably... I say this from personal experience.

Much smaller than anticipated. The majority of the park is paved roads to camp rental sites. The park is very clean and is an easy spot to snap a few pictures of the shoreline, but if you’re looking for more “hiking” rather than casual walking, you may want to skip this spot.

Very nice place. Beautiful campground and picnic spot. Restrooms are clean with hot shower.
A lot of sea creatures to explore due to the low tides and unfortunately, a burning mountain as well during this visit.
Playground: Small, tidy and enough to keep kids busy
Toilets: Clean with hot shower
Dog-friendliness: On leash please.
Picnic area: Decent size with the view of the water and mountains.

Nice place to have a picnic amongst the tall trees. Little part of the park has access to the water but keep you shoes on it filled with sharp pointy rocks. Sea shells everywhere and the smell is something you'll have to get used to.
Toilets: Small somewhat clean
Dog-friendliness: Yes
Picnic area: Picnic tables and grills are there so just bring the meat

Park benches. Volley ball. Camping. Very small beach access. Follow the signs. Beach is after the guard station.

The 'beach' is a 1,500 foot stretch of gravel. Nice view but not what normally comes to mind for a beach. Large day use area, huge grass area and pavilion. Looks like great spot for wedding or party. Campground is not great
Entire park is so heavily forested that the sun barely reaches the ground. So no solar and no satellite reception. Very unsafe, no police presence or enforcement rangers. Park is adjacent to roads where people race cars, and by neighborhoods with no fences. Anyone can just walk in. Won't be back.
Playground: There is one in the day use and another at the back loop of the campground. Newer, in good shape. Wod chips. Nothing special but they have them.
Toilets: Tile is from the 80's but they work. But not clean. Showers aren't great but again they work.
Picnic area: Large day use area with pavilion, bbq fire ring, grass area and view of the sound.

This is a review of the beach. It's a nice beach with a beautiful view of Hood Canal and the Olympics. We went and took our paddle boards down the stairs to the beach and dropped a crab pot. The area at the bottom of the steps down to the beach can get crowded so I like to walk a bit to the north to have a bit more privacy. But be cognizant of tide. At high tide, the beach is pretty thin and some parts can get cutoff from the steps down. It's a good place to crab. Go out a 100-200 yds and you can drop your pot in 50 ft of water.

It is a beautiful park. The view is phenomenal. I enjoyed it. However, my hubby stayed in the car as the walker would never have made the terrain.
We did drive around some and found the boat launch. Tide was out, and no one was putting a boat in, so we sat in the car (so we could easily move if need be), and he enjoyed the view for about ten minutes.

Beautiful State Park - The picnic tables are really spaced out to one another and it’s very clean. There is lots of shade and trails to walk around.
