“My partner and I came to Seattle Glassblowing to celebrate our anniversary and had the best time!! Quinn helped us make two ornaments and was relaxed, clear, and supportive of our hundreds of questions. We will absolutely be back!”

“I first discovered Lars and his art at an outdoor summer festival. I was walking and enjoying the outdoor vendors and bustling sunny streets when suddenly I found myself transfixed - an image of a Japanese maple, emblazoned by the colors of fall, and somehow, inviting me into a quiet moment of internal reflection. The dimensionality of the image and the quiet promise of grace and remembrance is what inspired me to purchase this piece knowing I wanted it to be a part of my daily life. Thank you Lars for the way your images create a portal of peace into an often chaotic world.”

“Went for the holiday native art market. It was lovely, as it has been in previous years. Parking is easy. There's a nice variety of art from jewelry to scented things like soap to original wall artwork to a some pottery, etc. The gift shop also has a nice selection. There are some food options offered. It takes about 30-60 minutes to peruse everything. Thank you to the Duwamish for doing this.”

“While looking for a thank you note with a fish motif, I scoured Annie's Art and Frame's vast selection of cards to no avail. I asked the associate working if she knew of any secret stash that I might've missed. She asked me to wait while she rummaged around the back and came out with the perfect card! Thank you for the kind and patient service. And of course, the cute card, too. PS I tried to upload a photo of the card, but Google kept rejecting it, so you'll just have to go to the store and see the selection for yourself.”

“I’m super picky when it comes to tattoos and choosing the right artist. It honestly took me over a year to find a shop and someone I could really trust, someone whose style matched mine, had good vibes, and wasn’t insanely expensive or overly selective. Yesterday, I finally got my 4th tattoo (and my first one in Seattle!) and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I went to Lake and they did such an amazing job, seriously brought my idea to life perfectly. The studio is really open and welcoming, everyone there is super nice, and it’s literally walking distance from my apartment (which is a little dangerous for my wallet tbh). Definitely planning to go back and I can already tell this is gonna be my regular spot for the long run.”

“While in town visiting family we came across this amazing store . The owners were so friendly and helpful . We have bought glass around the world and their glass ranks up there with the best we have found . We purchased quite a few pieces and they look even better in our home than they did in the store . We will be a frequent buyer for sure .”

“A Seattle institution, founded in 1976, and located in a charmer of a brick and mortar in the historic Georgetown neighborhood, sharing opposite sides of a space with Georgetown Records, Fantagraphics is a great place to visit! Full of art, history and just plain fun publications, readers of all ages will find something cool.”

“We hosted a birthday party for my child recently and were extremely pleased with the service we experienced and the quality of the resulting pottery. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed the party.

We have made many pieces at other pottery-painting studios, and were shocked by how much nicer the items we painted at Emerald City Fired Arts turned out; the quality difference was notable. Highly recommended!”

“Wa Na Wari is a must see experience for everyone interested in Seattle’s African-American history. They are committed to maintaining the legacy that their ancestors established in Central Seattle when that was one of the few places people of African descent were allowed to live. They are always gracious and share their history generously and proudly. You don’t want to miss it!”

“I love it here! The vibe is great and the owner Eva is so amazing to talk to. I can tell how much she cares about the people and the music. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have been able to play guitar for the summer! Thank you Eva and Ken”

“Visited to look for a friend's birthday present. The Japanese staff responded politely. They also wrapped the items I purchased. They have a lot of Japanese items with good taste, and it's within walking distance from Uwajimaya, so I'll come back regularly.”

“I love that they support local artists including teens! There is always something new to see here. I'm always so excited when they have a new show theme! I love the small craft / handmade / small business earrings they support- every time I wear a pair I've bought from Neplantla I always get compliments and people wanting to know "where did you get that"?!”

Gorgeous backdrop for music <3 Thank you for sharing your space with local artists! ?”

“I love going there any chance I can get. Regularly, they are a bunch of rented art studios anybody can rent as long as there’s some available. Some larger studios even host their own art classes in painting, graphite on paper, clay sculpting, and more.
It’s only during special events when you can see all the work happening, and that’s when One can witness the magic of artistic creativity!”

“It's an erotic art gallery. I haven't been in too many but the folks here were really nice, and the art was interesting even when it wasn't a swipe right for me.”

“Such beautiful art and such an amazing woman working there! The gallery itself is also layed out beautifully with an interactive display of some videos and art on a tablet in the back!”

“Love supporting local artists and love that there are more and more stores that connect artists to the community.

Super fun store for unique gifts!

Only things to note is the upstairs area that isn't easily accessible & then relying on street parking or public transit to get there.”

“Very neat store to browse! Plenty of artist made knick knacks, pins, buttons, and printed shirts. The curators are very personable and will give you introductions based on artist you are viewing. Would recommend a visit.

The only negative thing was not necessary pointed at the shop, but the mall it was located in. You can tell post-covid that the Pacific place mall and the surrounding area is struggling to keep up with inflation and rent. Plenty of closed shops and not enough thriving businesses. We found paid parking at garage belonging to the mall on 6th Avenue.”

“Beautiful pieces by beautiful people, lots of emotions are conveyed through each work presented. Always a lovely collection on display. Always be sure to look for a Richard Hutter piece, he has many collections available!”

“Apex has done an incredible job with all of my clients. They can look at a peice of art and know exactly the frame style it needs. They take care of arranging and installing art perfectly. My clients are always thrilled.”

“I've shopped around, and these are the best quality canvass (and metal!) prints I've been able to find, I literally cannot recommend Stretch and Staple highly enough. I'm a wildlife photographer in the Seattle area, and they are the only shop that's been able to print colors and details up to my slightly OCD standards. They will go the extra mile to make sure the colors come out right, and the detail is good enough to see reflections in the eyes of hummingbirds. Ten out of five stars, would print again.”

“I have come to expect the unexpected from the Greg Kucera Gallery, though I expect find my favorite artists here! Awesome space and supremely focused on what is important - the art. Easily the highlight of my trips to Seattle!”

“Really great exhibit with kindergartners drawings imagined into clay by high schoolers. The lady working was a real gem, good natured and we all left with positive vibes.”

“I freaking love this place!! Every time I come in there’s always some cool new jewelry, art or decorative home items out. I love that the owner pulls from different local artists and jewelers. It really makes this shop a place to stop by every few weeks. You never know what will be there next!”

“Lots of cool little things in this shop. Pricy, but great quality. The woman who has rung me out a few different times has always been really sweet. I also like that they sell Blackwing pencils individually. Everywhere else sells Blackwings in expensive packs.”

“Absolutely AMAZING destination for anyone who CANNOT be pleased with a standard gift! Handmade goods priced with the artists and the customers in mind, I don't think I could recommend this place MORE! Everything is kept clean, stocked, and the workers don't hesitate to let you know about the stories attached to each artist, if you want to take the step outside of just a "plain" shopping experience. Their website is gorgeous too! But the store experience is worth it, if only because you can see and hold and learn about the pieces in a really cool way. Absolutely 10/10 unique and irreplaceable part of Pacific Place!”

“I love exploring Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood. It has evolved over the years and there are pockets of some gentrification. It's always fun to check out the retail spots, cafes, and restaurants. I have my current faves on rotation, but it's great to discover a new spot. Housewright Gallery has been established since 2018, but this was my first visit (6/10/23).It's been awhile since I've done neighborhood art walks or visited specific art galleries or museums on a routine basis. I've only stopped to view installations in Belltown and First Hill this year. So it was great find to seek out specifically Housewright Gallery on S. Bailey, next door to Mezzanotte. It was a rainy Saturday and the neighborhood was setting up for two concurrent outdoor events. I was able to navigate the detours and found nearby street parking before the community festivities commenced.I wanted to check out Housewright Gallery's annual Pride Summer Salon, featuring mid century to current works from Northwest School artists and a collection of silver gelatin photographs taken by Kurt Timmermeister. I consider Kurt a modern day renaissance man. As mentioned earlier, this was my first visit to Housewright Gallery and did not know what to expect. I was warmly welcomed after I introduced myself and my intent to see Kurt's featured photos. It was great to view all the gallery artwork and photography up close, at a distance, and wander freely. I've been binging on my favorite Canadian interior design show segments, so it was a thrill seeing all the beautiful, carefully curated items throughout. I also gravitated to the furnishings, book collection, and Japanese ceramics. I enjoyed my visit and absolute admiration for the overall collection from the variety of artists and craftspeople.”
