Been renting here for years and always a constant pattern - never close contract even if I stand there waiting for my receipt. They will ask you to go to counter where there will be a huge queue. This time though, it’s reached a different level, 48 hours since my vehicle being dropped off and contract is still open. Call center is of no use- they say it takes 48 hours, tried to call 3 times. No way to reach this location the calls always go to central Avis line who have no idea. Left numerous emails to customer support, social support and location — no response either. Honestly just avoid it unless you are willing to fight a case when they don’t close your contract and if the vehicle is used by someone unauthorized (probably their own lazy rude staff) after your return it and something goes wrong with it.

Terrible experience. Came in late because all of the flights into SeaTac were delayed due to rainstorms. The woman at the counter that assisted us was rude and unhelpful. We came in with a reservation booked through a CC company and were charged $100 for an underage fee (my husband is 25 and I’m 24) and $50 for an additional driver fee (not supposed to be charged that for spouses per my call with their customer service representative). I initially booked the reservation myself so I can understand the $100 fee, but before we signed any additional paperwork, received any keys, and paid any additional fees, we explicitly stated that my husband, 25, would be the PRIMARY driver and the ONLY driver for that matter. At the end of the day, I guess it’s on us for not double checking that the representative at the counter fully understood what we were saying before signing any paperwork, but I was hoping that Avis would try to right this wrong given the circumstances. After receiving the bill, I called Avis immediately and the first representative was very understanding and made note of everything that was discussed. She said that I needed to call back in about 48 hours for the rental to close before any amendments could be made. I called today and spoke with another representative who explained that they can only clear the additional driver fee, not the underage fee. I was put on with a supervisor and told that “she understood my point” but I should’ve been more persistent at the counter and pushed for the correction. I don’t know how much clearer I could have been and, given that the representative in Seattle was already rude and impatient, don’t understand how it’s on me, the customer, to make sure the representative is doing their job. All and all, disappointed is an understatement about this company’s customer service. Will not be using again.

Forced us to take an electric vehicle and would not change the car without a $200 increase. Beware if you pick mystery vehicle they will force you likely into a bad situation. Had to waste a ton of time on our trip waiting in lines charging instead of 5 min fill ups.

I would give them 0 stars if possible. Avis completely ruined our experience. They charged us without giving any clear or correct information beforehand. Every step was full of confusion, hidden fees, and misleading communication. When we tried to get clarity, their staff was unhelpful and dismissive.
It felt like they deliberately withheld details just to trap us into paying extra. This is not just bad service – it’s dishonest. We trusted a reputed company and ended up being stressed, frustrated, and unfairly charged.
Save yourself the headache – don’t trust Avis and the customer service Sameer specifically . There are plenty of other rental companies out there who are upfront and treat their customers with respect.

Worst car rental experience ever. Got a filthy car far smaller than what we paid for (after Avis app said no cars available and wouldn’t let us check in for a reservation we’d made months ago). The one guy working the booth was apathetic, so we wound up driving a glorified golf cart for well over a week. The cherry on top was them charging my corporate card instead of my personal card (which I used to make the reservation, as confirmed by phone support). After sending in a complaint Avis refused to acknowledge the cleanliness or size issue and gave me a coupon for one free rental day to make up for the hours so far I’ve put in trying to fix my expense account.

We usually have a great experience with Avis, but not at this location. When we arrived, we were told there were no sedans, even though we had reserved one. We took an SUV, even though we didn't want it. It reeked of cigarette smoke, but we hoped it would go away because we were tired and had already waited in a very long line. After a couple days, it smelled even worse so we took it back. The line was very long and the employees didn't seem to know what they were doing. When we finally got to the front, the guys at the counter took forever to try to figure out how to do an exchange, and then told us they couldn't figure it out so they sent us to a different floor. After a while upstairs, they were able to get us a new car. At first they told us they couldn't give us a sedan because they didn't have any, but we told them we had already been downstairs dropping off the car and had seen plenty of sedans, and suddenly they were able to give us a sedan. Then, that car was very shaky on the highway, and we didn't feel safe in it. So we had to go back and return that car too. Thankfully, the person we talked to (Harpreet) finally knew what they were doing and quickly got us a new car that smelled good and ran properly. He is the only reason this rating isn't one star. We wasted hours of our vacation because we were given cars that never should have been rented out. Especially the cigarette car; the scent was overwhelming and should have been caught. And employees need to be trained better so customers don't have to wait so long while they try to figure things out. We will not be using this Avis in the future, and it has made us consider using it at other airports as well.

Extremely disappointed with the service here. The staff at the customer service booth were unprofessional and rude, showing no respect or basic courtesy toward customers. The male staff member was argumentative, even with his own colleagues, and created an unpleasant atmosphere. It took us over two hours just to exchange a defective car because the representative refused to listen or assist properly till we escalated to their manager. Overall, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had

I recently rented a minivan from this avis for a week. We originally found it odd that a minivan with less than 15k miles on it did not have floor mats. We later found out that they did this so that more cars need to be sent to detail so they can charge a $250 cleaning fee on top of the rental. I will never rent from this location again and will definitely look for other car rental companies in my future travels.

Pros: Really appreciated skipping the line through preferred. Bonus was being able to select my car choice on the app from a preset list - including an upgrade! Selected car, 2025 Subaru Outback, was new and mechanically sound. Staff was really nice. Dropoff was straightforward.
Cons: Car could've been more clean; there were food crumbs, wrappers, sand/dirt, etc. in pretty noticeable areas.
