“Looks like they're closed for good. How sad. I loved this place. Best lunch on the block. I should have tried their ribs when I had the chance. Hopefully they reopen in the near future.”

“This is a great local butcher with lots of options and even more wisdom on how to cook, prepare and select meat. They don’t just have protein. You can also find cheese, eggs, vegetables, bones, sauces, rubs, spices, jerky, landjaeger‘s, and much more. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable and there is enough differently prepared meat here to keep your mealtime interesting for a long time.”

“Fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and local butcher shop. What's not to like?Better have an answer for, "what are you going to do with it?" Question from the team.”

“We’ve been to BT numerous times and always enjoy it, the food is amazing the service is impeccable! This latest visit was a bit under previous experiences in timing of dinner delivery and the temperature of the steak was incorrect. With grace and humility, the manager came to visit the table and work to correct the situation. Justin went above and beyond to correct and we greatly appreciate his and Kelly, our server, efforts to correct the situation. They more than compensated for the kitchen error. Mind you, we’ve been many many times and this is the first blip and correction! By far the best steak in town and stellar service! Will always recommend to anyone who asks. Thanks Justin and Kelly for the service, hospitality and enjoyment of our special dinner out.”

“I absolutely love Bob's. I've been twice and both times had amazing staff help and amazing products! I used a smoked turkey leg in my collard greens and a boneless chuck roast for a stew. Prior to that I bought a lamb of rack from them. Always fantastic meat and flavor, my Texan heart feels warmed with their delicious offerings.”

“I live in Belltown, and I love coming down here for most of my weekly meat products. They have an amazing selection, good prices, and it’s a great experience buying from them every time. I cook often and it feels great to work with such consistently high quality ingredients.”

“This review is strictly for the meat market side of the establishment. So many different cuts of meat and from the multiple times we've been here, everything has always been fresh and delicious. We always bring our own bag but when checking out we get charged 10 cents. Frustrating to correct that "error" repeatedly since we come here twice a month.”

“Love B&E! We buy a few strips of salmon candy at least once a week and they have every cut of meat you could think of and are super knowledgeable. Can be a little spendy (rack of lamb was ~$120) but I guess that’s the price you pay for great meat!”

“Don't let LB prices scare you away, this shop has the goods; some of the best cured meats I've ever eaten! Their aged Waygu Braesola is truly on another level and their house Copa is simple, pure and perfect. Still have a grass fed hangar steak to cook tonight and Sage breakfast sausage for the AM (full links for about $2 a piece!), but the cured stuff has redefined my standard for charcuterie lol, don't think I can do boars head pre-packs again when I can get a QP of either of these for around $10 and get 10x the flavor and care. Will be back for sure”

“They are incredibly sweet and they are so accommodating! I came in on a pinch for Christmas ideas and they had a everything I needed!Meat was beautifully cut, extremely delicious, and decently priced. It's a smaller counter, so don't expect a full blown butcher shop, though! Small but had many options, so don't underestimate them.Definitely coming back.”

“This is a great store for grocery needs but it's easy to miss with its modest signage, a single door pane is often open and no windows and its allocation is easy to drive right by because you're on a main street. However, it's also easy if you are walking by or exercising, walking forward, walking backwards, jogging, running or doing cartwheels... it's uphill a bit or down from you...beats fighting traffic, always. They have a small parking lot and it's all a manageable size and endeavor for many of your list items. If you're looking for Vietnamese food, herb, canned items, Pacific fresh seafood or Vietnamese instant coffee or relics this is an easy, dependable stop and they've got a kind and hardworking crew. They already supply many of the produce for some of the restaurants close by where you may have eaten last evening or where you will eat tonight. Not shopping for Vietnamese ingredients? No problem. Unfamiliar with such fare but require some delicious, fresh fish, meats like beef, pork belly bacon you will find this store FUNfamiliar and Dong Hing has those proteins too. Butchers are on site, scales for clams by the pound are available and if someone doesn't speak english just ask another customer or one of the nice stock ladies. These ladies are everywhere rolling dollies around with boxes and these ladies are just as tough as they are beautiful and they will help you if you're polite. One of these young ladies helped me find the right instant coffee last time. Thank you, again. Personally, I find the vegetable and fruit selection outstanding considering the overall size of the grocery market. THIS IS KEY- the fact that Vietnamese culture is a shopping daily culture, cooking at home is a sport and fresh ingredients are instrumental in Vietnamese recipes which make such selections reliably FRESHER and CONSISTENTLY AVAILABLE so you may select your fruits and vegetables FASTER and EASIER. This fact means they have an aggressive purchasing power so greater quantities are rotated faster, cleaner and their capture clientele demands it so they have more in relative quantity than most western grocery markets three times their size! I recently bought some oranges and bok choy and they were fantastic. The store area is nearly halfway full of ALL freshness between protein, veggies+herbs and fruit. Not only is this place clean, it smells like it too and much less spoiling of produce or brown, yellowing twigs of herbs, fronds and less sifting for the last one or two of something that resembles a crown of broccoli or a carrot that's not an heirloom carrot because it's turning purple, lol. The sellers are committed to this clientele and often that's the first fruit they get, so to speak. Save time, support you and the local micro economy as you shop here too in addition to the other markets in this community. By supporting these families and the International District you retain it's experience-an experience unlike anywhere and unlike most places in this country. If it's simply an individual orange or you're making a fresh salad for one hundred rabbits or buying bacon for your Sunday brunch, beef for the backyard grill or you just enjoy meeting new people and exploring different economies, foods and cultural ceremonies this place is open to you and for you.
