Dong Hing Market is a hidden gem located at 1001 S Jackson St in Seattle, easily overlooked due to its modest signage and lack of windows. This small grocery store is a reliable stop for those seeking Vietnamese food, fresh seafood, herbs, and other Asian ingredients. It features a manageable size with a small parking lot, making it accessible for both drivers and pedestrians. Customers appreciate the outstanding selection of fruits, vegetables, and meats, with many items being fresher than those found in larger supermarkets. The market is known for its commitment to quality, with a team of friendly and hardworking staff ready to assist shoppers, even if language barriers arise. The store's butchers and scales for fresh seafood add to its appeal. While the market can get crowded and chilly inside, it remains a favorite for its great prices on meats and Asian vegetables. Shoppers return year after year, grateful for the variety and quality available. Though prices have increased, many appreciate the store's unique offerings and the opportunity to support the local economy. Dong Hing Market is more than just a grocery store; it provides an authentic cultural experience in the heart of the International District, welcoming anyone interested in exploring diverse foods and ingredients.

Great prices on meats and Asian veggies. Can be quite crowded and cold inside. We keep going back year after year. They have the rice that we love. Their produce is top notch. Prices have gone up quite a bit, but we're grateful that they are still around.
