Such an great big park. Love the walkability and scenery. Like an industrial playground for kids and adults. There are a lot of places to jump off of. If you let your kid run for an hour, I'm sure they will get very tired.
This playground has an amazing view. Parking is plentiful, at least when I went.

Best for Parks Because: Gas Works Park, a 21-acre industrial area, formerly the site of a gas plant, is now one of the city's most loved gems. Best for Beaches Because: While Gas Works Park doesn't offer a traditional beach experience, its waterside knolls are the next best thing when the sun shines.
