“We have worked with Montlake Insurance since its inception, and we previously didn’t know that an insurance company could make our lives easier. Unfortunately, there have been several instances when we have needed to call upon our insurance (sewer line break, car accident, etc.), and each time an unexpected life event occurs, Thomas is our first phone call. He always answers his phone and helps us navigate the situation from the get-go so we don’t go down a path of utilizing resources that will someday conflict with the insurance claim. Beyond the logistics, Thomas and Lindsey really care about us and always look for ways for us to benefit from using them as our brokers. After our car accident, Thomas called several times to check in to see how we were doing. I was one time at a business meeting and Lindsey overheard that our nanny had gone to grad school and was no longer working for us. Later that day, Lindsey called me to confirm the nanny was no longer an employee because we had added her as a driver to our car insurance policy and I forgot to remove her from the policy when she went to grad school. Lindsey not only removed her from the policy but was able to back-date the policy from the date the nanny left and get us a refund check for the time we were paying for her to be on the policy when she wasn’t an employee. Every year that our policies are due for renewal, Montlake Insurance shops a huge roster of carriers to get us the best coverage at the best price possible, and they do all of that work behind the scenes without us asking for it. We cannot recommend Montlake Insurance more!”

He was able to answer all my questions about earthquake and flood protection; and, they offer pet insurance (which I'm considering because my cat's needs seem to be more expensive than my car maintenance).I highly recommend giving them a call if you are looking for a good policy and a company that treats you like a person and not just a policy number.”

“Moved to CA mid last year and State Farm's auto and home insurance rates were so high out here so I did some rate shopping. I spent a lot of time getting quotes from almost every company Google provided me info on and Belltown came out on top, using one of those companies I had separately gotten a quote on. They must get a discount of some sort because even when I called the company personally (out of incredulity), and spent time getting another quote, I couldn't even get the same price Belltown did. So of course I enrolled through Belltown. Better pricing, I can email or call Ed with any question or task during business hours without going though a million phone menu options, and get quick response! I haven't gotten into any accidents and there was one question Ed where apologized and said I had to call the insurance company directly but that experience was surprisingly painless. So far only positives!”

They had to drop me because of the number of claims, and we went through a strenuous 3 year process to settle an underinsured motorist claim where I was run over by an aggravated drunk. Ultimately, Safeco and its representatives were professional and thorough in their efforts. It may have not been all pleasant, but they did the right thing in coverage.
