The Live Butcher LLC is a very small, real butcher shop offering premium meats with excellent flavor. It is a great local, neighborhood butcher with lots of options, including seafood specials. The shop provides not just protein but also cheese, eggs, vegetables, bones, sauces, rubs, spices, jerky, and much more. Customers report the meat is incredible, moist, and hands down the best they have ever had, with one calling the tenderloin an experience of pure ecstasy that could be cut with a fork. The staff is super friendly, very kind, and knowledgeable, providing a very friendly shopping experience with incredible service and wisdom on how to cook, prepare, and select meat. It is wonderful to have a locally owned business where customers can find out the source of their meat and where the owner supports the local community. The shop opens at 10am and is closed Sundays and Mondays. Many customers have been back multiple times to fill their freezers and plan to be regulars, with some regretting not coming sooner.

Hands down the best meat market/butcher in the city. I drive from Capital Hill because the meat is that good, and the service and price is even better. Tom and his team are amazing.
