About McCaw Hall
McCaw Hall is a state-of-the-art performing arts center and premier special event venue, part of Seattle Center and home to the Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet. It hosts over 300 events yearly in its beautiful auditorium, which has a contemporary futuristic esque, sidebox seats, and great viewpoints for every price point. Almost every seat has a good view of the stage. The venue includes a restaurant, Prelude, which serves fantastic food like leg of lamb, though prices can be high. The pre-performance entertainment and opportunity to peruse artists' kiosks is added fun. The bathrooms are clean and plentiful, though lines during intermission are long but pass quickly. While the bar selection could be better and sound can sometimes seem low, it remains a wonderful and favorite place to see excellent productions with exquisite choreography. It is recommended to arrive early for parking and to visit the gift shop.
We see lots of performances here, mostly Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet. We've seen a few concerts there too. It's a very comfortable venue. There is a restaurant there and alcohol served during intermissions.

Wonderful venue, easily accessible and comfortable. The accoustics were exqusite, and kast night's performance of Carmen was just perfect. I look forward to the next opera season.
