The NE Seattle Tool Library is a tool lending library and part of the nonprofit Seattle REconomy, promoting sustainability and community. It offers a huge selection of tools, ranging from saws and drills to mowers, pressure washers, cement mixers, and tools for woodworking, metalworking, drywall, and concrete. It has literally everything. The resources, classes, and events are available to everyone. The membership is $50 a year. Very friendly and super helpful volunteers and staff do good things for the neighborhood, filled with care in the community. It is a good place to borrow all kinds of tools for home projects, saving money. They also accept donated tools.
My own tool broke and I'm thought to this the perfect opportunity to try out the library. The tool they had was exactly right. I had 6 or 7 to choose from and it ran just exactly as needed. I will definitely be back!

So much stuff! Nice and friendly people, pretty much all the tools you can imagine, great resource. I went for the woodshop orientation and felt safe and welcomed as a beginner to woodworking.

What a great idea, that has now been around for more than a few decades, and now in Shoreline! Just drop by and look around, it is definitely MORE than tools... bicycles, classes, 3-D printers, and items for sale too!!
