“I keep thinking about all the people at Resilient Heart Sanctuary all day today. They are so kind and sweet and just amazing people. And all future parents with meet and greet today were so awesome too. I made friends with them and exchange our number. Such a good feeling especially when I met with so many unkind people lately. Make me believe in humanity again.”

“They have this process down. It's efficient use of the volunteers and they make you feel like you are contributing. This was my third time here, and I packaged lentils, dairy and frozen potatoes. After a quick briefing and getting suited up, we are in the task. You get a rhythm going and get quicker. It's more fun when you bring friends, and the time goes fast. Makes me feel like I am giving back a bit.”

“Superb humans right here. Helpful, patient and this is just some kind stuff right here. Do you actually need to own a thing that you might need 1-5 years apart. I have enough stuff, accumulating stuff is so 1980's.”

“The theater itself is fantastic. They've done a gorgeous job of keeping the beautiful details intact. Previously I've sat on the first level and the sound and view has never been a problem. Wanting to see a show recently and snagging last minute tickets, I was able to compare to the absolute furthest back rows and I will say that the sound (for a musical) travelled poorly. A lot of the specific words from each line were lost by the time it reached the back. I have perfect hearing and am in my twenties, so for anyone with trouble hearing, this could have been a really negative experience. While I recognize you "get what you pay for", I did still pay a lot to go and felt frustrated how much I was missing. The other element that made the venue lose a star for me was the security staff outside that was lacking in hospitality while trying to rush everyone in on time. I understand the pressure to start the show on time but given we're all there for a good time and paid a lot, I do have an expectation of kindness or a kind tone that was missing with some. Otherwise, I'll of course be back and will get tickets earlier to ensure I'm closer to the front!”

“Lots of great stuff to buy and super helpful and knowledgeable staff. I needed to buy some binoculars and the staff spent over 15 minutes with me trying out a couple pairs and patiently explaining the differences. Great cause, great shop, great staff!”

“Make a wish is a wonderful organization and they made the donation process very simple. The one and only hiccup was that it didn't really like my phone number and tried to keep the xxx's that it had in place while blank and then flagged as an invalid number. But that was a simple fix.”

“The foundation's aptitude testing is objective and thorough. It will give participants a more concrete idea of where their strengths and weaknesses exist. Provides a useful delineation between aptitudes you are born with versus acquired skills.”

“Food is available for those in need, no questions asked. Most times, they have a variety of staples, both dry (rice, beans), canned, and fresh. Some fresh vegetables are also available. They also have pre-made meals by the large coffee company that we all know.Allow yourself some extra time as there could be many people in line, but it goes fast. The staff is super friendly and approachable for the most part.Today (Sept 1st), one volunteer was making loud comments regarding a certain POC who struggled with English. That's not cool. They also seemed more interested in telling "war stories" and chatting than helping other volunteers. There's a first time for everything.”

“Free popcorn, self serve, a bit on the salty side. I wonder if they do that to cause thirst, drink more? Friendly staff. Clean, but dated. Thursday nights they have blues bands. Parking was easy, after 7pm.”

“First place besides one weird one out of some attempt at fear mongering behavior, solid and surprisingly nice staff, I just leave this here as record, reviews aren't required, but this is an honest one.”

“Attended the Matcha and Mindfulness class with instructor Bonnie and had the best experience! Her class was intimate, engaging, and was more than we could have expected. We learned about the rich history of tea and she even provided treats to pair with the drinks. I would highly recommend if you are curious about the history of matcha and learn how to make it on your own. The space was beautiful and we look forward to engaging in the work at the Japanese cultural and community center again soon!”

“all kinds of literature for sale at cost that i didn't even know existed! something for everyone seeking recovery (from the 'mothership' of 12-step) even if you're in another 12-step fellowship. this place welcomes volunteers and occasionally holds meetings and gatherings... feels like home away from home. you just have to hang out there a bit to understand, but i'm pretty sure you'll end up glad that you did.”

“Gratitude to LLTS for masking Thursdays. This is disability justice at work, small acts of community safety that enacts harm reduction for people with disability to be able to return to thrift knowing Thursdays are safe-enough. such small brilliant strategy, everyone should do this!”

“Has a lot of great resources here for women in need. I got into transitional housing referred by another woman here and am grateful for Polly helping me with my housing applications when I needed help. I love participating in Art class on Sundays and the meals served here are always great! Plenty of options for vegetarian, too! And a B-I-G thank you for your service work, for all those who volunteer!”

“Amazing community resource! Have just about every tool you can imagine. Great not having to buy tools that you might only need once. To people saying they stopped by and no one was there: it's staffed by volunteers, so don't expect it to be able to staff like a for-profit business.”

“Review: Casa LatinaI recently reached out to Casa Latina for some help around my property, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. After a quick call on Thursday explaining my needs, they promptly arranged for a heavy laborer and an advanced gardener to assist me. The $10 fee was a small price to pay for the convenience. Both workers showed up on time and dove straight into their tasks with enthusiasm. Their hard work and great communication skills made everything run smoothly. Not a single hiccup throughout the day! What really impressed me was their expertise. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing, and they tackled the job with confidence.Overall, Casa Latina exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again—they've earned my trust with their professionalism and quality service.”

“These people are truly amazing. They take time out of their lives to spend it with people who need to have some positive influences in their lives and to be treated like they're worthy of respect, which are two things our system lacks completely. These people help make up for that.”

“Crista ministries - the one ministry uncompromisingly working for the kingdom of God through international outreach, school, assisted living, Camps etc. I love the resolve of the leadership team for biblical principles. Employees share the word of God for their clients freely (not constrained like other companies), pray for each other and have devotions. If you are a Christian and devoted for the cause of Christ - this the place you need to work to advance the Great commission as well as for personal development where you are paid but also living your values.I pray for them to continue in their resolve and be a light for other Christians companies not to compromise the biblical principles for a profit of money. Crista - trusts on the provision of God while focusing on the right thing. God bless Jacinta Tegman, CEO.”
