If your doctor calls in a script, they will not fill it. You can call 100 times and no one will answer. You will then have to go in person, just to remind them to just start the process, then you will have to come back another day or maybe in a couple hours just to check if it’s ready. This pharmacy is horribly understaffed, they will only have one register open when the line is 15 long, there won’t be a single person there to answer the phone. You will then have to go in (in person) to wait in line for an hour, to just remind them to start the freaking refill. Then you will have to wait in line again for a long time for it to not even be done yet, but the line is so long that you have to strategically join it so you don’t get in the back of a 15 person line and wait even longer after you script is finished. Safeway obviously doesn’t pay these people enough, if they did then more people would want to work there. For the last year they have been severely understaffed, meanwhile Safeway is jacking up food prices and having record profits. All the while people are not able to get their scripts in a timely manner, I’ve gone into withdrawal because of how behind they are. I hate that I have to come here once a freaking month to deal with the nonesense.

You can schedule a vaccine appointment here, show up, and they tell you it's out of stock. Okay, but maybe call me at the start of the day instead of waiting for me to get there and wasting the trip.
Worse, they're using an AI auto-responder bot that replies to these reviews without even having the courtesy to also include a recipe for potato soup. Would be much better if they did

I'm typing this during my 30th minute in line, and counting. The pharmacy is understaffed and unable to keep up with demand.
The staff is professional, I'm sure this is management/ownership's refusal to adequately staff. Support your fellow workers.

Bummerrrrr. Waited twice in the same day in a ~40 min line. I’ve never experienced this kind of delay. I used to goto rite aid down the road. The wait was never more than 5 or so minutes. Please get more help. They should have prepared better to absorb the rite aid customers. I’m finding a new pharmacy 🫠

I've been using this pharmacy for the last 3 years. In the past few months it really seems like it's gotten worse. Perhaps they absorbed a lot of new patients from the Rite Aid closing but every time I go in to pick up a prescription I end up waiting 30+ minutes in line. The employees seem nice and friendly enough but clearly overworked. Please PLEASE hire more staff for this pharmacy, they clearly need it.

I had a complicated prescription sent from the drug company and Kaiser and there was a coupon/promo..it was all very convoluted and they helped figure it out and called to check with me multiple times. Really appreciate all their help especially considering how crazy busy they are. And another time, I was in a bunch of pain and they fast tracked my prescription so I could get it before they closed/same day even though they were slammed. Which was so nice of them because I desperately needed it. So glad they are my go to pharmacy, and so close to home. Thank you!

I waited 30 minutes in line to speak to someone before being told it would take an hour for it to be ready. I tried calling in advance multiple times, but no one picks up the phone. So I spent 30 minutes waiting in line to be told to come back in an hour for a prescription for a sick baby. The people working there are clearly very busy so shame on Safeway for understaffing their pharmacy.

I've never had a positive experience at this pharmacy. After 10+ horrible experiences, I have no hesitation saying this is the worst pharmacy in the Seattle area. No one knows what they are doing, the pharmacist never comes over to educate you on the medication, and they often take 2+ weeks to fill prescriptions if you don't hound them about it. Not to mention they refuse to answer the phone. And that doesn't even touch on how rude the pharmacist is. Go anywhere else.

Worst pharmacy I’ve experienced in my 79 years. Understaffed, NEVER answered the phone in my many attempts. The staff seem fine, but unbelievably bad service.

I just had two very bad experiences at the safeway pharmacy in Wedgwood. I got a text that my prescription was ready and used the link provided to pre-pay. I got there to pick it up and when the clerk was ringing it up (after looking for it for 5 minutes) something in their system wouldn't show that I had paid, even though I'd gotten confirmation of payment. So, the clerk wouldn't let me have it, and I was not going to pay again, and ended up leaving without my prescription. Today, I went back to get another prescription. There was a very nice clerk there who let me have my first prescription, looked for a good 5-10 minutes for the 2nd and couldn't find it. She said she only occasionally works for Safeway and just got called in that morning. She said she'd have to refill the 2nd prescription and file a report that it had gone missing, and that she was very concerned about that. I will avoid having any more prescriptions filled at Safeway.

Used to be okay, bad now. Visibly very dirty, bad customer service, takes multiple days to fill new prescriptions. Go elsewhere.

They never answer the phone and the recorded message tells you that they don't receive messages.

I've been going here for years. Lately they seem angry to be at work half the time, and if you have question that can't be answered by the automated system, you might as well drive over, because they're not answering phones and the voice mailbox is full and not taking messages.
Thinking about switching pharmacies, frankly.

Hands down the worst pharmacy experience I’ve ever had. My Dr was trying to call repeatedly to grant authorization to fill a medication and they just didn’t answer. My Dr was taking time out of his after hours work schedule to do this. A pharmacist told me that he had to call in, I finally got him to call in and we all could hear the phone ringing yet still they just would not answer it. I did exactly what they asked of me, and literally in the moment of hearing the phone ringing, a different pharmacist stood there and argued with me about it. I understood them needing authorization but to stand there when we ALL clearly could hear the phone ringing and still not answer is just beyond me.

Rude over the phone and slow to respond. Told them I had a trip and needed a prescription by a certain date and they didn't even call back for 2 days until after I had already left
