My experience with Seattle Bank has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite having a signed contract that explicitly outlined the terms of ownership regarding my mother's land, Seattle Bank unlawfully seized the property. This blatant disregard for legal agreements and property rights is unacceptable and has caused immense distress for my family.To make matters worse, their attorneys displayed aggressive and unprofessional behavior throughout the ordeal. Instead of adhering to ethical standards and working towards a fair resolution, they resorted to intimidating tactics, further exacerbating the situation.I strongly advise caution to anyone considering doing business with Seattle Bank. Their disregard for legal agreements and unprofessional conduct should serve as a warning to potential clients. My family's experience with Seattle Bank has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge others to steer clear to avoid similar hardships.Shawn

I opened an online CD with Seattle Bank recently and the process was straightforward and easy. You can go through the full account opening process from your laptop, which is super convenient and most banks don't let you open CDs online. The interest rate was terrific, too.

Applied for a CD online. Went through all the steps, including linking bank account to Seattle Bank for the transfer of funds. Over a week went by, no follow up from the bank. Two weeks , two emails, 3 phone messages (because they never answer the phone on the customer service line), and a significant drop in CD rates later, still not a response.UPDATE : Since my comments, Seattle Bank contacted me. They had evidently tried to reach out to me the day prior to my review, but my voicemail was full. Having said that, it was still after multiple emails and phone messages, but not this review that prompted them to reach out. They apologized as they were overwhelmed by the response, as others here have said. The response should have been expected, am surprised at their lack of anticipatory planning. Nonetheless, they were professional, pleasant, and responsive. The account was approved, the CD was opened at the original rate (despite the lag time during which rates dropped), funds were transferred, and the CD certificate emailed. Have changed my review from one star to three.

It was an amazing experience with Seattle bank. Michael Nishiki was phenomenal through the whole process , he worked with me personally on the phone , walking me through the whole account setup process and had my account setup in no time.This was one of the smoothest and efficient process and experience I had with a bank, no hoops to jump and everything was online . If you are looking for a bank Seattle bank is the one for you,.

Tried in vain to call the contact center including the email address ,no one will contact me no matter how hard I tried. After 5 days or so a miracle happened and someone answered the phone;from that point on there was relatively smooth sailing.

Since my comment below, Seattle Bank contacted me and provided all the details. They apologized for the delays as they were not ready for overwhelming number of applications. I thank them for that. I am bumping up from 1 to 3 stars based on their response. I still cant agree they didnt plan for the surge applicants causing lot of anxiety to their customers like me. Though delayed, their response was courteous and professional.I opened a CD account and they were quick to approve. I transferred funds. Since then i havent received any receipt. I made multiple calls and sent rmails no one responded. I am worried if this bank is legit.

Straight up poor customer service. They are completely understaffed for the scale of business they desire to do. I was told one thing was holding up funding an account, but how would I know if the bank doesn’t communicate back to the customer???

I've been with Seattle Bank for about 13 years. Seems longer. The staff is always polite and friendly, whether in person or on the phone. I've never had any issues with them. They're awesome.

Rude and disrespectful. Would not listen to reason. Absolutely ridiculous people. Failed to take the time to discuss a simple situation. Glad to never do business with them.

BEWARE!!! Seattle bank is quick to receive your wired money but WON'T wire it back. One CD was returned by regular US Mail! They wouldn't pay for certified or registered, too cheap. After 5 years I'm done with their policies to delay and retain your money.

Do not deposit funds with this bank. They make it nearly impossible to get your money back at maturity. I speak from experience. They claim to be an online bank but despite the fact they can obtain the funding amount from your checking----they do not have the ability to return the money at maturity to that funding bank. This has been an ongoing problem for over 3 years. Plus when you TRY to go online the site does not respond with a needed authentication code!
