Seattle ReCreative is a craft supply resell store and a fantastic gem, one of the favorite stores in Seattle for crafters. It promotes creativity, community, and environmental stewardship through creative reuse. The store collects donations of used art materials to keep them from the landfill and resells them at a fraction of the retail price, offering amazing prices and great deals on tons of random and usable items. It has a wide variety of craft items, including knitting and embroidery supplies, yarn, fabric, paper, buttons, and non-craft supplies like greeting cards, gift wrap, and holiday decor. The selection varies, so you might not find something specific, but you are likely to find something more broad. It is a wonderful, cute, and well-organized spot, described as a room of requirement where you never know what treasures and cool finds you'll discover. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, though sometimes volunteers may not be very helpful. They also host classes, camps, and birthday parties. For donations, an appointment is required and they only accept items of their choice.
I love the idea of a store with second hand art supplies! This place rocks! 🧑🏻🎨
