“This place is gigantic and stuffed with supplies for every new obsession you might get. Go in to buy watercolor pencils, notice a display of bookbinding equipment: boom, now you make books out of your watercolors and you are 100% more interesting than you were when you walked in. :)Super helpful/friendly staff and endless fun inside.”

“Love this craft store, not ADA accessible.I had come here once on my own, and the second time with a friend who's in a wheelchair.Aisles are tight and crowded with products, Initially I only found it a bit bothersome but seeing as though my friend wasn't able to even comfortably move his wheel chair between aisles without bumping into boxes or getting stuck was disappointing.I recommend reorganizing to make it more accessible for disabled folks, this is an important part of the community and it would show that you care about your disabled community members.I'll be coming back but I really hope to see this important change next time! Not having enough space is not a good excuse to not be accessible, we owe it to our community!”

“Whether you’re looking for handmade or conventional art supplies, this store has it all. In particular, I love their selection of fountain pen inks, journals and pens.”

“Huge variety of materials for you to make your own jewelry. From gemstones to Swarovski and everything in between. Even if you want to replicate something you saw on Pinterest, bring the photo in and one of the incredibly friendly and helpful employees will guide you on what you need and how to do it. If you need help with a project, bring it into the store and you can craft it there with some assistance. Most of all, they are the most affordable bead store for the quality of the items you get.As a side note, get here early if you plan on making a trip because their parking lot is small and fills up quickly. And because they are nestled in a residential neighborhood, street parking can be limited.”

“This was my first visit to Paper Source! I love writing letters and needed something beyond a legal pad. Paper Source had whatvI needed and more! The lady who helped me with my purchase was great and showed me a few things I needed and something I wanted! Great spot! Highly recommended!”

“I loved how well-organized everything was. Stores that cater to children can become messy fast, but clearly the staff here have everything whipped into shape. Would have loved a wider jigsaw puzzle selection (especially 1000 and 1500 pcs), but I am very happy with the one I bought.”

“I am new to working with hot glass. I visited Olympic to purchase supplies. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Cheyenne was very helpful and she gave me so much information about their services. The warehouse team loaded my truck properly and professionally. Great experience”

“There's nothing better than wandering around a bookstore. Although I'm not a student, this is a great bookstore to visit for their book recommendations and occasional deals. I like their "bargain books" as they do often have some popular titles at a great price. I was here to go to Boona Boona cafe. I saw their cute typewriter set up so you can see how it was back in the day! Checkout was a breeze and there's a parking lot in the back which is a huge plus because finding parking on the Ave is not always easy.”

“Awesome spot. Staff was friendly, and knowledgeable, and just plain cool. I order spray paint from them regularly and have only received excellent service so I had to visit their only physical location while in town. Stay up.”

“Love the sales and variety of things in the store. Don't like that they are not open on Sunday as I work during the week so Saturday and Sunday are my shopping days.”

“Easy to use website, fast shipping. Over the years I have struggled to find a consistent supplier for materials. Most ceramic supply stores must be run by unorganized artists that are too "right-brained" to manage a business. Seattle Pottery Supply seems to be the exception. Every time I've ordered the orders have been shipped complete and promptly. I'm in Utah but Seattle Pottery Supply is now my go to supplier for clay pottery supplies and materials.”

“I was on the hunt for a varied selection of freshwater pearls and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing selection of pearls Samual had! I felt like I was at a gem show as there was a HUGE selection of different sizes, colors and textured pearls! Prices were very reasonable and I bought 2 strands each of 20 different colors and have already used many of them for my creations. I've got lots of craft shows this summer so I'll be going back again soon to get more! They also had a lot of natural stone & semi-precious stone strands as well as many interesting charms & carved pendants. Samuel was very pleasant and helpful too. I can't wait to go back!”

“. I was very surprised to see the inside of the JoAnne Fabrics Store for the first time in Ballard today. It appears to be a store for serious crafters! Much better quality of products than Micheals for any kind of sewing, embroidery, quilting or crocheting .(2 years ago)The store is large enough that I felt comfortable shopping and the staff kindly helped me get acclimated since I was new to the store and to locate the embroidery floss I originally came in for! The assortment of fleece fabric made me want to sew up some warm pj's to snuggle up in as well! (2 years ago)Oh has this store come a long way since I started coming here around 2 years ago and met a new employee with a busy store to manage. The staff is varied but well trained and knowledgable and the store well looked after and tidied after the busiest of weekends!”
