“Long story short: I really respect and trust the Mercer Street Vet team.
Long story long: We usually see Dr. Holly and she’s really great. Our dog has Addison’s Disease and she helped us find it step by step without sending either of us into a chaos spin. Our guy is a little bit of an anxious mess when he goes in but everybody helps to work around this. We’ve got a “chill protocol” they setup for us to help make his experience less overwhelming. I trust the diagnosis they give us and I don’t feel like they ever push extra things on us. The information is given to us and we choose if we would like to go further with it.

“Dr Tweed specializes in bulldogs. The advice and knowledge she's shared with me has been incredibly helpful. Trying to solve my English bulldogs health problems were largely going nowhere with previous veterinarians I saw. One visit with Dr Tweed and I saw immediate improvement.”

The front desk staff, vet techs and vets have always been so caring, compassionate, patient and have consistently provided top notch care to my kitties Sam and Stella for the last 3 years.
Their practice was full when I first reached out. But, they recommended checking in every week or 2. We were able to establish care in a few weeks and it was absolutely worth the short wait!

“I thought this was an emergency vet and rushed my old cat in when my regular vet was unavailable. They are not an ER, but they did squeeze us in quickly anyway. They really went above and beyond for my old, blind cat, accommodating her extra needs with genuine care, patience, and kindness. They even doled out an extra Churo to ease her suffering and that had her comfortably napping and snoring while we awaited test results. If I didn't already love my regular vet so much, I'd be here in a heartbeat.”

We’ve seen both Dr Khela and Dr De and they both have been thorough with examinations and in educating us about how to care for our large breed puppy and eye care referrals. “I brought my 16yo cat in at 1am Saturday morning,he was very sick and we pretty well knew that he was passing away. In my grief I did not get the vets name but we did get Roman's. Both the vet and Roman were exceptional. They were attentive,calming,patient,and informative. They handled Howie with respect,swaddled,cleaned,and helped us help him pass in a very peaceful and loving way.Thankyou to you both,I will always remember both of you as part of our experience.”

“Easy to navigate website for appointment making and a friendly and informative staff. They were honest about my outcomes which in this case were were less that I'd hoped for, but that had nothing to do with their relative abilities. Reasonably priced considering the location.”
“Excellent facility; my guinea pig had cancer and was beyond saving, but they were able to make her more comfortable. A week later, Strawberry (the guinea pig) passed away peacefully and painlessly in her sleep.”
“I’ve been taking my kitty here for annual checkups since I first adopted her. I love the style here: a very practical approach to pet care with no up-selling pressures. The office is small and personal but be aware that there are not separate entrances or waiting areas for cats and dogs which may not work for your pet. I plan to keep returning though!”
“My sweet 6yo cat Olive had never really had any experiences at the vet until she ended up needing a very extensive surgery to remove some tumors in her mammary glands. I did a lot of research having never seen any vets in the Seattle area before and eventually chose Rainier for Olive's care. The whole team treated her (and me!) with such kindness and they are always excited to see her, and they were very clear and informative about her prognosis, the surgery recovery process, and the next steps we should take if the tumors ended up being cancer. They did an excellent job with the surgery itself, even spaying her at the same time so we didn't need to go through two separate surgeries, and afterwards when she tore open part of her stitches they saw us at very last minute notice to check the incision site and provided additional antibiotics at no cost. Luckily she ended up beating the odds and her tumors were benign but even if the worst case scenario would have happened I would have trusted no other vet clinic to care for her after the amazing experiences we have had there so far. They are very transparent about pricing and I have never felt like they are charging me extra just because they can. Every single doctor, vet tech, and receptionist I have encountered there is always pleasant, helpful, and happy to see Olive come through the doors. Would recommend to anyone looking for a skilled, reasonably priced, and compassionate vet clinic!”
