I had a great experience. Jake was the person who helped me set up my storage unit. He was very professional and patient with me. Jake explained your policies, showed me a couple of units that I could choose from and even gave me a cold bottle of water, as it was pretty warm outside!

Helpful, straightforward service at a good price. Units are clean. Facility is open 6 am to 10 pm rather than 24 hours, but that turns out to be a good balance of access and security.

Great service from Amy & Jake! So convenient to be able to rent a U-Haul van right at the storage facility. We've had a great experience renting multiple units here over the years, love the secure parking and having an outdoor office on site.

The front desk receptionist was helpful and friendly, and the charges and layout of the building were all explained to me very clearly and thoroughly. It was easy to access and easy to load, we felt very taken care of.

There is a manager here, her name is Amy, and she is the person you want watching over your belongings, and she is the person you want to do business with. She is polite, alert, and effective. I have rented from 4 other companies and have never had someone as competent, as her. She truly makes me feel at ease when my valuables are out of my sight.

Amy is an all star, her patience, smile, sympathy & knowledge of West Coast storage company values are done to perfection! I appreciate her willingness to help & offer quick resolutions when difficult situations arise, I don't know how she does it day in & day out. I really do appreciate her cool, calm, collected attitude. Your management has hired the right person to do good business for the West Coast storage team, way to go Amy ???.....

I researched storage companies for our business needs for a large move of restaurant and office equipment. We needed 2 units. By far, Amy was light years ahead of the other companies with regard to customer service. I was able to reach her directly when needed and she gave the personal service that set her apart from the others. The ease of the entire transaction (storage selection, paperwork, payment) was simple and seamless. I highly recommend West Coast Storage - you will enjoy working with Amy.

I have been using West Coast storage for the past several years. For the most part I have had positive experiences - I like their facility - it's secure, clean and the units are easy to access. I am not sure if the management has changed recently, because typically management has been so kind and communicative! But recently I had a really concerning incident. All of a sudden, I was being billed $15 more a month than usual! That's a big increase. I was sure it was a mistake because I had not received any emails or mailers from them. I understand that increases happen - although this has absolutely been the steepest increase since getting the unit a few years ago. However, I appreciate when businesses are upfront about it. In the past when the rent changes, I have always received an email and/or a mailer. I am someone who keeps ALL important emails and mailers (I guess a bit of an email hoarder). I looked through my email records as well as my physical mail communications that I have received from the storage facility and there was NO COMMUNICATION about an increase (I was able to find all previous notices, but not this one). I emailed them to clarify, and they claimed that I had received the email and opened it! Absolutely not true - because if I had, I would have been filed electronically in the same folder as all my other emails from the facility. I even keep my monthly bills from them (just in case). This (raising rent without prior notice) goes against their rental agreement that states that they need to give notice before rent increases. However, I didn't want to argue back and forth, and I had no way to really prove that I had not received the email (even though I know I didn't). If they had apologized for the miscommunication, I might have been more understanding. But I do not appreciate or stand behind deceptive practices. If I had written this review a year ago, I would have given them 5 stars. At this point it's 2 because of their deceptive practices and I don't really trust them very much. As a result, I would have a hard time recommending this storage facility. I am starting to look at other options.

After being in quite a pickle when picking up a large bookcase from a West Coast Storage customer at the Columbia City location, Amy stepped-up in a big way. The bookcase did not fit in our car and Amy went above and beyond to come up with a solution which included sourcing a large enough UHaul pickup from another location so that we could quickly get this item to our home. Amy is stellar! Thank you.

If you want to rent a storage room for more than 6 months, don’t pick this facility. After first three months, they increases the storage rent. Now they are sending us an email to inform an increase the storage rent again. Only half of a year, they increased the rent twice???PS be aware you need to give them 30 days written notice to end rental with them? meanwhile, Seattle apartments only require 20 days written notice to move out?

I would highly recommend renting at this storage facility due to the fact that Liza (property manager) was very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgable. She was able to help us through the process even though it appeared to start off a bit rough (not her fault).I went there to rent a storage space and had one picked out. The only problem was that it was the last one in the size I wanted, and the automatic light sensor was not working. Liza assured me that it would be addressed immediately. She was communicative throughout the whole process. When it appeared that it was not going to be fixed immediately, she provided me with updates and options that worked out for both parties.I was very happy with her willingness to ensure that I left happy and continued to support even after the move in.The other pluses going for this place that make it top notch is the other staff member on hand (Shawny) were helpful and pleasant in assisting us. The property is clean and secure and well lit in the parking, storage spaces and floors. I love that the parking/loading area is covered and storage is accessible quickly via tow sets of elevators.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a long term /short term storage place.
