Just tried to transfer service using the online system. After two tries I called PUD. They told me to try a different browser. I downloaded a different browser but it still didn't work. I called back only to find out that this is an IT issue on the PUD side. There is also a broken link on the transfer application page. I was told to keep trying later in the day/week (no idea when the page will be working and there is no way to notify customers), or to come in-person. I'm happy to come in, but the whole IT issue was very frustrating, for me as well as the customer service rep.

We’re freezing. No power. No one answers. Then it hangs up.

We called in a sparking wire that threw sparks whenever the wind blew. PUD had a crew out trimming the troublesome branches within a couple of hours, even though it is after-hours. Thank you PUD!

On 11-1-24. Power blew out at my trailer park where we live. Tried calling the report an outage number. Computer wouldn't take message and gave me the run around. The PUD website would give an way to report the outage either. Is this the new PUD. We had to wait 4 hours for the trucks to show up dispatch by who knows.

We're building on property in the county. Ray V. is an outstanding employee who really cares about customers. He has answered all our questions and made great suggestions for our power options.

Very courteous, patient, and knowledgeable staff. There is never a line. I've never been there for longer than 15 minutes.

Try to hook up power. Good luck they have multiple people and permits to do before they will begin to bend you overIt doesn't help when you have the paperwork in front of them but their response is but it's not on my computer without saying where it needs to go. Just on the website is answer. Then it was L&I needs to be on the siteFinally a lady from back came forward to help me with getting it done instead of just pointing at screen with I can't find it.

The worst power company I've ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. There's probably better service and cheaper prices in third world countries.

They say they will come and don’t leaving customers without power for too long. As a publicly owned company there is nothing we can do.

My bill quadrupled this winter...From $55 to $220 (Last bill) ...I'm a snowbird( Low thermostat in winter 45 degrees)...After having my handyman and Peninsula Heat check all my systems... for $300 plus ....Turns out , when they put the new meters in they put in a meter that was hooked up to another address (Software?) This has gone on for 5 months.. They continued to blame me for high usage...Finally called Ray (Supervisor) who had Chris (Meter man) check the meter ....WRONG METER for my address.. I kept telling them this started when they installed the new meters.. No they said , there had to be something running in my house or old meter didn't work right , new meters work fine... ..... Turns out I have been paying someone elses bill who is a winter resident... I live in Sequim and Fred Schwartz is my google name for privacy... Just a warning if your bill has changed... BETTER CHECK THE NEW METER, the reading might be from someone elses address...... We shall see if I'm reimbursed....Good luckOK Here is an up date.... It's August 22 2022 today.... My case has been passed around to 4 different people with no resolution to compensate me for my service call bills...BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THEM THIS WAS MY FAULT.... This started in October of 2021 when they installed a new meter and incorrectly recorded the meter number...9 MONTHS AGO... Excuses for delays over and over and over... This is a Public Utility company that should be held to a higher standard... It's not like a Taco Bell order where they forgot the cheese... I filed out all the forms, I did everything right, and they continue to drag their feet... 9 months of excuses for their incompetence while they all collect their paychecks.... Pretty sadHere is next revised update I sent to Nicole Hartman.. PUD's "communcation manager" who assured me they sent a check on August 15 for my unnecessary service calls by Peninsula Heat"Nicole, as of 8-23 I have not received the check for reimbursement to Peninsula Heat ... as of 8-23... Did you really mail the check August 15?...I signed away my right to litigate which was a mistake on my part ... I simply wanted to end this ordeal be compensated for the unneeded service calls and move on... It's not really even the money... It's the months of blaming me and lack of logic and reason to see that the whole problem started when the new meter was installed..... recording the correct account number to match the meter that was installed is PUD's job... .....That is the first place you should have looked since I set my thermostat at 40 when I go south for the winter.... Simple logic to check the easiest solutions first...

Outstanding staff, especially with power outages. Today was a fierce windstorm and I lost power in my area. They had it back up in most areas in about an hour and a half, but my area was still without power. I was worried that it would be a freezing night and I have no alternate heat. But they got it fixed within the next hour, long before dark. The house temp was still 69 and the fridge only rose 5 degrees inside, being kept closed the whole time. This really gives us customers peace of mind, especially during the cold spring we are having with nights in the 30's.

The cost for electric is insane! I’m paying an average of 260 a month for a small 2 bedroom-900 square feet. I’m even frugal about use! I can’t believe electricity would be so expensive anywhere in the U.S. I’ve lived across the U.S. and have never paid that much even in the winter! I believe the most I ever paid anywhere is the USA prior to moving here was 170 in the winter and that was a bigger place 1200 square feet… if there is an outage don’t expect to be able to talk to anyone. They won’t even give you an estimate on the time it will take to get your services back on. The only time someone answers is if you need to pay the outlandish bill. Everyone I’ve ever spoken to was about payments and they were always super nice so they have a good customer service team, but I can’t get over how expensive it is. Electricity shouldn’t be a luxury.

The PUD has had great communication when we have any outages, helpful staff, and been quick to repair and restore power when we’ve had an outage. We appreciate their hard work!
