Machias Grocery is a well-regarded local short stop with new ownership. The store is very clean and organized, offering gas, snacks, groceries, and every beverage imaginable, including a much bigger and varied beer selection. They have hot food, including the best chicken strips, and a coffee stand in the parking lot. The staff is very friendly. They are open longer hours and keep upgrading the store. Some note it can be a little spendy and that the window wiper water and paper towels are not always filled. It is considered the best around and worth a stop.
Why can't they fill the window wiper water and the Paper towels,it's part of their Job,I'm wondering it's to much for them,saves money and garbage pile ups or ?

It's a great place for a quick stop, wide variety of food and drinks, and it has excellent service.

I've always had an enjoyable experience there. Especially with the old owners, but they sold out to some India folks. Who run the place slightly different but now they offer 24hr service which is great, as well as a few other accommodations that weren't available prior to. So no complaints here
