“My low review of this particular safeway isn't indicative of the store as a whole. To me, it's a typical Safeway. Nothing great or terrible bout the shopping experience. Why this particular store is awful, is the terrible sound that emanates thru the air, EVERYTIME someone walks in an out of there. You'd think the manager or some top official would solve this horrible problem.
For most individuals, its just a stupid nuisance we must adjust too. For some unfortunate souls, they suffer from a condition known as misophonia. Look it up, it's terrible for them. An the person's affected are residents of the apts complex next to it. It's ridiculous. It's like people who can't stand fingernails scrapping against a chalkboard, horrifying. So please, if any Safeway manager is reading this, please help the poor individuals suffering this terrible neurological affliction, an have them find relief. Thank

I want to say Thank You so very much to the manager/owner of the Safeway on 13th St. As my previous review stated, it was awful for individuals suffering from the terrible affliction known as Misophonia. The door was the cause of that terrible sound. And, as promised, the owner stated he would look into it, an have maintenance take care of it, an true to his or her word, they did. The individual I know is so relieved that sound is gone. That is the wonderful part of living in a smallish community. Even big corporate grocery stores like Safeway, still care enough for the community they serve, that they do what's right for the people who live in the community. I will always be grateful to the manager/owner for keeping their word, an hopefully this review will let new an loyal customers know, they have a real caring community driven Safeway on 13th St., in Snohomish Washington. “I hear people making comments about new ownership, negative things. I am thankful there is a store there, and far better than the original one next to Docs in the 80s. They have really good Chicken Breast Spicy Fried chicken for NICE price. The staff, if you get to know a little bit, they are nice folks, and they are hard workers. I have questions on prices sometimes, which they usually do not know offhand, but are happy to check. I enjoy several other of their deli foods. Their breakfast egg/sausage cheese muffin is tasty and also priced good enough. Even on Thanksgiving after a long day driving north, coming back home and stopping by there, the guys were open, friendly, laughing and cool as usual. I appreciate this place being there. I get tractor fuel there too, when i just need 8hrs work worth... Thanks for being reasonable store for all sorts of things. I am just fine with the new ownership and folks there. Disregard the negative comments about them...”

Oriental & Africa Mini Market has been a go-to for me and my family for over three years whenever we shop for homely food items and specialty groceries. Even after moving nearly 20 miles away, we still make it a point to stop here as part of our shopping routine — that says a lot about the quality and consistency of this store.

Shopping here is always a delight and a pleasure. The owner is genuinely committed to improvement; over the years, I’ve raised concerns or suggestions, and they’ve consistently addressed them, often offering better replacements or solutions. The new attendant is especially noteworthy — warm, attentive, and always ready to assist, regardless of any communication barriers. She goes out of her way to help customers find what they need, saving time and making the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable.

“It's the only grocery store that you can go to that doesn't eat up your entire paycheck for full grocery trip. i do my bulk shopping here. I will get my fancy cheese and meat at QFC or the Evergreen Asian market. but other than that I get everything else here. the winco in Marysville has fresh hand made sushi every Tuesday. I even get my money orders fir rent when im here at this one stop shop. always fairly crowded but not as bad as costco.”

“This Safeway is a nice one, they all have lots of parking, wheel chair accessible, mostly clean but this Safeway, I noticed has happy employees.
Most people, including myself doesn't care fore food shopping but having happy employees makes for a more enjoyable trip to the store, it just makes for a better day.
That and happy employees means good managing.”
