We were here just for a layover. Drove to the REI because it was close to the park. Really cool store and have appeared to be at historic area.

Ski desk very helpful. Huge shoutout to Harald for being a huge help with my skis and taking the time to educate me about how to take care of them. Awesome guy, awesome experience. Get your skis worked on here!

Their parking lot was a great place to troubleshoot why my car was running hot. Got it dealt with.If it would have been earlier I may have went inside to browse but alas they were already closed.Thank you REI, I promise to come and browse another time.

My wife and I live out of town so we were visiting and said hey let’s stop by REI and see what they got going on. After about 10 minutes of browsing merchandise we noticed we were being watched like hawks by employees. This happened throughout our whole shopping experience. It made us feel like trash. I don’t know why they singled us out. So anyways we spend 200 dollars which I kinda regret after being treated like thieves. I’ve been to the REI’s in Kennewick, Oregon, Seattle and been treated great at these locations.

Love REI! Not the greatest instore selection on kids footwear, or Prana, but always great service, and knowledgeable staff.

Very nice and polite workers. My only gripe is. That you can literally Google anything there while your shopping and find a better price online or at a different store. They are just way overpriced. Try it next time you're looking at an item there. You'll be amazed at the price difference.

Been shopping here a lot recently and they are the best! Prices are much better than you would expect from a retailer like this, and if you are member (only $30 for life) you can return anything for up to a year!

An incredible team who were attentive to the needs of everyone around me. Clean store, lots of gear, and plenty of sales. The staff makes this place great. I became a member and will be going back.

Do not go shopping here without earbuds or headphones, the global "please don't talk to me" sign.I was in for less than a minute for someone to ask me if I need help. That's fine, a bit intimidatingly prompt but fine for how recently I entered the store. I found what I needed and was checking the sizes and then a man came up to me to tell me about their membership and the benefits and all that. He left, and then not two minutes later, a third man came to talk to me if I needed anything. I wasn't shopping for ten minutes without three people talking to me. I would have asked the first person for help if I needed it. I was so frustrated by the constant social bombardment that I gave up what I was looking for to shop for it online, lest a fourth person try to talk to me.One person asking me if I need help is fine customer service. Three people bombarding me is bad, trying to sell a membership is far far worse. This was one of the most miserable shopping experiences I've had.

I was shopping for specific hat and they have 5 different sections with hats. When I walked around to look, Instead of just asking me if I needed help they did the classic retail "have the employee stand next to them and adjust stuff because it deters them from stealing." So that was insulting. When I actually needed help though, I had to go to the counter to ask someone.I got a hat but that sucked as the first time I'd been there.

Member since 1981. The original Seattle store was a real treat. I’ve been exploring and climbing for over 45 years. Bought gear from many different vendors. As far as customer service/ returns/ warranty/ few meet REI’s gold standard. They can’t carry all the “specialized “ manufacturers that I use but they do carry 90% of my needs. In 42 years I can’t think of one disappointment That’s special I can remember when Eddie Bauer carried ropes and crampons. I can’t imagine not having REI to fill my supplies
