We drove 2.5 hours to get custom made work boots for my husband. Excellent customer service. The store is very clean, organized and put together well. The staff is knowledgeable and experienced. Highly recommend and would make the drive again.

Sub par leather, wore them 1 day at work and already got a tear in the toe box.The "Roughneck" boot doesn't stand up to its name.Their return policy was for me to send them back, and they would decide what to do. That's not an option when I need my boots everyday for work.Slapped some tuff toe on it and called it a day.I would not recommend Whites. I'm taking future business elsewhere.

Great visit today at the Spokane Retail Store! Fantastic customer service from Kevin, a fellow Mainer! He helped me get fitted for a pair of the Classic Cruisers whilst we bantered about our mutual hunting interest. Great store. Great boots. Great service.I'll be back again. Got my eye on those Rancher's too.Thank you, to all of the fine staff at White's Boots.

Came in for a set of custom boots, extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. Wide variety of high quality boots, work wear and outdoor wear.Great boots, fits like a pair of well worn gloves. The leather sole can seem a little stiff if your used to cushioned inserts but once your get used to it it's extremely supportive and comfortable. Looking forward to buying more boots

Pretty bummed to write this review. I'm pretty disappointed with White's. I am field ecologist in the Midwest. Me and my co-workers are pretty hard on boots. We're in and out of water, mud, fire, sharp stumps, herbicide exposure, etc. Whites has been on our radar for years, being the so called standard of wildland fire boots. Due to the price, nobody was willing to try White's worrying that it might be overkill. After using Danner, Carolina, and Keen and putting them through their paces, I expected a spectacular boot if I was to pay more then double what I paid for these other boots. I originally ordered the "Crew Boot" but it came in a size too large for me, which happens, but White's does not pay for return shipping to exchange for the right size. Another $70 later, I upgraded to the "Fire Hybrid" and sized down. I was disappointed to find that they were also to large in the toe box. I didn't want to pay another $70 to ship these new ones back, and my ankle locked in well enough to wear comfortably if I put a sponge in the empty space. So I made due. The quality of the boots are undeniable, Super high quality leather, tough stitching, and apparent care in manufacture. However, I was extremely surprised by their actual performance in fire. During prescribed fires, I'm often close to or standing on open flame, never having issue, but these boots really heat up and keep it in a way that I have not experienced with my previous non fire rated boots. Even after dowsing the boots in water, I was still very uncomfortable for several minutes as the heat dissipated. This has happened multiple times. In the future, I will be saving my money and going with Carolina, who in my experience, have the best value I have found in work boots. White's makes a beautiful Product, but bad policies to insure your boots are right for you, and its performance in its stated purpose will keep me from repurchasing or rebuilding.

This is a review after three years, and near 5 days a week wear. It is also in part a contrast to shallow negative reviews left by over-entitled and self important folks that given the world, would NOT be happy. Firstly the boots are top quality, and near bullet proof. Purchased the Cruiser model in black waxed flesh. Very little break-in needed, and had zero hot spots once tongue was broken in. Store was super busy the day I was there, with a little patience, the staff got to nearly every one and were very helpful. At least one person walked out mumbling under their breath about the wait time, and honestly Whites does not need a customer like that anyway. After about a year, my left boot developed a squeak. I took them back in, and whites took care of the squeak by re-bottoming the boots. Yes...... this took some time, but I was happy to wait, and cost me nothing. Not advertised as such, but these have been nearly weather tight. Many hiking trips, and backpacking trips where they have been in wet weather for hours/days and very little gets through to socks. They are costly, but considering a US made boot, by a family business, and opposite of the "Walmart" throw away culture, absolutely with the price IMO. After three years a hard wear, boots are still in perfect working order. If you're a nit-pick type, there is some uneven-ness to hand made boots. Go by cheaper factory made boot, or some fashion brand. Not a hand made boot. YELP..... you really need a thumbs down for reviews, which should include mine for those bothered by calling out the over entitled and self important. :)

Where do I start…. Sized wrong, boot doesn’t fit with insoles. Ok fine, insoles are nice but whatever. Keep wearing them for work and they begin to squeak like SpongeBob. Glue is separated so I buy another pair to keep me going while whites does a rebuild. This time I size myself and get the perfect fit. 8 months later the second pair I bought turns to SpongeBob squeaks. Now I’ll probably have to go to whites and have them rebuild that pair…..What can I say, not the best experience with a handmade boot company.

Extremely disappointed. I've ordered a pair of Millwood work boots on November 16th 2023. A few week later, they arrived at home in Canada (Obviously, had to pay a brokerage fee which I expected). Upon trying the boots, leather teared like a piece of paper between the tongue and the boots, right in the gusset. I was offered a replacement. I then proceeded to return the brand new defective pair for exchange, and was promised there would be no brokerage fees for warranty exchange. January comes, got a message from Canada Post asking me 63$ for a second time in brokerage fees. That's 126$ total (Once for the OG shipment which I didn't mind paying obviously, and once for the warranty replacement). I then proceeded to contact customer service and management won't refund the second brokerage fee, only credit towards a future purchase. I'm stuck with returning the boots after close to 3 months of waiting, to get a full refund, which I hope will include the first brokerage fee since I never got to enjoy the boots one for one minute in the first place. The irony is they will have to pay for freight back to their warehouse, which should be about the same as that refund would have cost them. But looking at the latest reviews, I’m kind of glad I sent them back as it seems the quality isn’t what it once was. Will look into other brands.

Awesome people, awesome product. I appreciate handmade made in usa quality goods. Thank you to all who are involved at White's, the phone representative, all the people who make the boots, cutting the leather, sewing and stitching, lasting, bottoming, finishing and management. Thank you!

Recently picked up my first pair of custom order boots and am very happy with them. I have foot issues with bunions, neuromas, and fallen arches from a lifetime of wearing boots and White's was very thorough during the measuring process, taking copious amounts of notes for each individual foot. I was also very specific about the boot design I was looking for and they met every expectation. While there will be some breaking in ahead of me I'm confident that these boots will last me the rest of my life. If you're thinking about a custom built pair of boots save your pennies, they're not cheap. But if you want hand-made, American made, boots made specifically made for your feet, that the maker will stand behind and rebuild when needed then this is the place to come. There's a reason they've been in business for more than a century and garnered the reputation they have.

I was ready to buy, but dealing with that sales rep was like pulling teeth. He kept insisting me to buy shoes that was too tight for me, and was passive aggressive when I asked for a different size. Spent a good amount of time to try on the sizes that I never asked for before he will bring me the size I wanted, I had to walk away at the end.

Pricey? Yes. Well worth it? Also yes. I love when one walks into the store, one can hear the hammer pounding of boots. This store is true blue Americana. They don't skimp. The prices are outrageous. But like we hear, you get what you pay for.

It is a great store. My husband has been getting his boots there for almost thirty years. His doctor told him if he didn't get good boots that his feet would not hold up for long. He is still going strong. The people that take care of you are wonderful to deal with. We highly recommend it.

4 months and a $400 "Full Rebuild" later. Rebuild was discounted also from a previous mistake by WhitesBoots were dropped off at Whites in August and just received them 10/9/2023. We have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off so took the kid to the mall and a pumpkin patch. Come home to two hooks completely removed and multiple already coming loose. Called in and was told to just send them back for Whites to look at and fix. Currently $1,100 into these boots after about 5 - 6 years.Like the box says "Trust the Original"
