I have seen Sara for the last couple of years at the Fircrest location and every cut is my favorite and they grow out so nicely. Also, she's just good , down to earth company. I have been loving a blunt bob with some layers and every time the line is perfect. She pays attention to detail and is great at balancing my crazy thick hair. She gave me some curtain bangs today and just made me feel like a 10! If you have thick, straight hair and like to mess around with different shorter lengths I can't recommend her enough.

I've been a client for years. Shauna has been my stylist the last year, and she's amazing! She not only gave me the best cut of my life (with bangs!), she also gives me great styling tips. And free bang trims!

If "zero" stars were available that is what I would give them! I made a 2 pm appointment to have my eyebrows done today, 9/6/2023. I was 5 minutes early and was told it will be just a couple of minutes. At 2:15 I asked the young man at the counter if I was going to have to wait any longer for my appointment. A woman walked out and said she was late for her appointment and that is why I had to wait. I looked at the young man and said I was leaving and it was not fair to keep me waiting because this woman was not considerate enough to call and reschedule her appointment. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend them.

My husband had gone to the original salon on Center street for several years before we moved away. He always had good things to say about it and was always satisfied with his hair cut. Now that we're back and I've been looking for a stylist who could use a razor and cut a proper shag hairstyle. So I called the 65th Ave location and asked if they had an operator who knew how to use a razor. She immediately said Sarah and set an appointment. When I met her I described the cut I wanted and showed her pictures of traditional shag hair cuts, stating that I had asked for someone knowledgeable with a razor. She told me she doesn't use a razor but could duplicate a razor cut with shears, which I know can't be done. She was very convincing so I told her to proceed. After about 5 minutes she asked how is that? It was not even close to a shag. I asked her to please concentrate on the fringe to make it very evident. She asked me to explain so I showed her the pictures again, pointing out the fringe that makes the style a shag. She argued with me that the pictures weren't shag haircuts and called one a pixie, which it definitely was not. One Picture was a short layered shag and one was a long layered shag, which is what I wanted. She still didn't seem to understand even though the pictures were perfect examples of the style. She added some more layers but didn't come close to cutting the back length into the necessary fringe so I just gave up and accepted that I was only going to get layers and not the actual style. I went to pay and was extremely disappointed to have to pay $90 for a cut that I didn't want. She's talented with the shears but couldn't understand what I wanted and argued that I didn't know what a shag was. Needless to say I won't be going back. These are the pictures I showed her. Picture number one is the short layered shag, number two is the long layered shag and three is the cut she gave me. Doesn't come close.

I had an unsatisfactory experience at FOXFIRE SALON AND SPA. I had a consult and showed pictures of what I'd like to achieve. Three weeks later at my appt, I showed them again to be sure we were on the same page...Not only did I not get highlights (mouse grey shade, no highlights or lowlights), but my stylist also shortened my hair after having confirmed that I wanted to "maintain length". I was told $342.00 later and I did not get what I came for...so disappointed...

I usually do not post reviews but I had such a terrible experience that I wanted to make sure everyone has this information. I had an appointment that was scheduled 6 weeks prior with my usual stylist but I was called 1/2 hour before to let me know i was rescheduled with Sara because my regular stylist left the salon. We were part way through the cut and I was questioning some parts of my hair and her attitude changed dramatically. She was instantly irritated and and stated that she could not make me happy. It just went downhill from there. I was also charged 95.00 for the cut because that is her price she charges when my regular stylist only charges 65.00. I was not told this up front. She didn't even style it. She was so visibly mad and I was trying not to lose it that I just paid it. This was my wife's experience.

Spent a fortune for cheap looking cartoon hair, stylist didn't even care when I questioned the outcome. I could have done better with box color.

So I went in just once but the hairstylist I got was great she left my hair awesome it was a bit pricey but she got rid of my grays which that was my concern to begin with but overall great haircut, color and had a nice conversation with her very nice demeanor.

I was looking for another Aveda Salon with a Stylist that has experience with foils/color. Thank God I found Shauna at FixFire Aveda Salon in Fircrest! I had been going to another Stylist for over 20 yrs. I needed a change. Shauna treated me so kind. Her concern for what I was looking for was above and beyond. It's always hard to change to another Stylist. Shauna went above and beyond to get it right. Her zeal for her profession isn't found anywhere else. I highly recommend Shauna to everyone looking for a new Stylist!!! Best Foil and Cut I've ever had!!!!! Thank you Shauna. I'm so glad I found you

I had a great experience with Sara @ Foxfire (Fircrest location) I'm the mother of the bride with a wedding 10 days away and needed a cut & color and honestly a hair intervention! With weight loss and a pandemic my hair was a disaster. Sara went straight to work, listening to what I wanted and nailed it! I'm so happy with the results. I would definitely recommend her services.

I am so happy I found this place. I have extremely difficult hair to cut. I made an appointment without ever visiting the salon thinking I would be disappointed with my haircut as usual but it needed to be done. As soon as I met Ryan I was at ease. She literally killed it on my haircut, cutting my hair in the right way that allows it to fall naturally. I was so happy with my haircut that I made an appointment for hair color. Hair Dye comes down to chemistry, you have to mix the dye to cater to the hairs ability to absorb it. Shauna did the most amazing job. My hair rarely takes to dye but I wanted a change. Shauna took her time on my hair, trying her absolute best to make it the perfect color. It turned out beautiful. It took longer than expected but the fact that Shawna went the extra mile to make it look good was so amazing. I will definitely be returning to this salon for all my self care needs. Also, Cassie at the front desk is extremely personable and creates a comfortable environment whether you are coming or leaving. Also I love that this salon does not pressure you to buy certain things.
