Most HORRIBLE experience I've EVER had!!!! Water came out dark brown at first! Heater didn't work hot water didn't work!! Room smelled like old mildew!!! False advertising on the pool because they don't even have one!!! Kitchen was closed so they gave out grab n go breakfast bags which contained snacks only. Upmost WORST hotel EVER!!! Would go NO stars if possible!!

No breakfast or bar. The pictures are old from the old best western. He sink took forever to go down. Bad areas in Tacoma and very deserted. The prices is good but not for the type of hotel. Should have went to holiday in for the same price.

It was gross, they never went into our room for fresh towels. There was people living in and outside of the hotel. M&Ms were on the floor, no phone in room, no cover on bed, no soap or shampoo in bathroom. The parking area was flooded and it smelled rottenRooms: Rooms need a lot of work. No fan in bathroom, couldn't adjust room temperature, no towels, soap or shampoo in bathroom. Would not recommend to anyoneSafety: I did not feel safe at all with the people living in and outside of the hotel.Noteworthy details: The area is run down, the parking is questionable. Wonderful if your destination is the Tacoma Dome- literally located in the parking lot.It is older...but it is clean. It needs new toilet seats, and some refreshing...but is generally fine.The staff is polite and helpful. There is night security... since it is Tacoma.Again, clean and great location.

Property under new management,Manager and staff were so courteous and helpful. The beds and lines was clean not like described on previews reviews.Definitely will be coming back for next rave.

This location still has bed bugs. This is a newer review so believe me nothing has changed for the better. There are constant bed bug and sanitary health hazards at this hotel. Staff try to lie and keep it covered up but it’s a huge problem. Do not go here.

As usual. Top notch everything. I'm trying to find a s service failure and just can't. Everything here is great. I dont need to go into everything, just trust me, it's all goodRooms: Excellent bedding and linens. Black-out curtains. Excellent air con and big Tv's many outlets

I want to preface this by saying I have worked at a hotel for about 2 years and was recently promoted to front desk manager. With that being said I had the previous knowledge of knowing you cannot book a hotel room more than 51 weeks in advance, and knowing Thunderdome is typically the first weekend of February, I went ahead and booked 4 rooms for Feb 1-5. I did this to get the cheapest rate possible, as rates are typically based on availability, i.e the more booked the hotel gets the more expensice the rates become. I booked these 1 king room, 1 two queen room, and 2 two double bed rooms on March 27, 2023. I didn't check on the reservation until about two weeks about ago. I went into my email to check the total of our stay, so I could let my group know what everyone owed for their part, when I did this I saw I had two separate confirmation emails. One from 3/27/23 and one from 4/4/2023, just a week later. The second confirmation says that one of my rooms with 2 double beds was changed to a room with 2 queen beds. Now, I wouldn't have had an issue with the upgrade, if it hadn't doubled the rate. The original two queen rooms was $129-154 for the nightly rate. This newly updated two queen room was $135, $314, $314, $122. Now why would we pay double the price for the same room type for the same amount of days, at the same hotel? So naturally, last Monday, I called the Comfort Inn, explained my concerns, to be told they didn't make the change so I would have to call Choice Hotels Customer Service. Tuesday, I called Choice Hotels CS, again explained my concerns, was escalated to a Manger, and was told they could not manually change the rate on their end, and I would have to call the General Manger of the hotel. Wednesday, I call the hotel, to be rudely told the manager wasn't in, but would be in Saturday from 8-4. I call Saturday (yesterday) at Noon, and was again, rudely, told the manager had gone home sick, but would likely be in the next day. By this point, I have become quite frustrated with the situation, and only have a couple days to make changes to my booking, so I called Choice Hotels, again. I spoke with a manager, who opened a case for me about the issue, told me he could see that the change was made to the reservation at the hotel level, and due to that he was adding a note to the case stating the GM had to match the rate to my original two queen room. I called back today, asking for the manager. I was told they were almost done with a meeting, so I asked to have the manager call when done with said meeting. Over an hour later, I call back, to be told the manager said they didn't feel the need to return my call, and to have the Front Desk agent to tell me, they won't be changing my rate due to it being an event weekend. I would've been understanding had I made the change myself, however I did not. I explained what the Choice Hotels manager said and that I had a case # to discuss with the manager. They told me no, to speaking with a manager 3 more times before I hung up. My boyfriend called trying to get through to a manager, and he was not only told no, but was also hung up on. About 30 minutes, the front desk manager called me, and informed me that they canceled my all 4 of my rooms, because they didn't want to deal with me. When I explained, I didn't want that, and i was calling about the rate discrepancy, she told me it was already done, and then proceeded to tell me there were never any changes made to my reservation. However the 2 confirmation emails, the additional $500 that appeared on my bill when the change was made, and the Case I opened with Choice Hotels says otherwise. She responded with, well none of that matters, because you're not staying here. We were disappointed in the property last year, as the bath rubs were rusty, the rooms weren't super clean, the elevators kept breaking because they would let people use the stairs, and half of the parking garage was not accessible.
