The client service at this branch is REMARKABLY bad. I have had 2 of 3 tellers both of whom seem literally annoyed and put out to do simple straight deposits. This used to be a Columbia Bank, so hopefully Umpqua just inherited some mediocre service people in the merge because this is not the level of service that caused me to begin an extensive banking relationship with Umpqua.

Sketchy bank... automatically opts you into overdraft programs and doesn't send any notifications that you overdrafted... charged me $140 in fees for a few small purchases... wouldn't reverse. Rude unforgiving old manager lady was awful.... avoid this awful bank. Do business elsewhere. Atleast they could be friendly in any amount.

Phoned a day prior and was told I could come in any time as long as it was by 5 as they close at 6 to assist my son with an account being open. I come in today and was told that it wasn't true. Thwn they were condescending as if I was not accurate with the bank I called to inquire about... they false nicely were see through. Which is why the southern Belle shut up after being told I know how tocuse Google. All employees should be aware of all operations at all tomes and the available staff.EDIT:We opened his account at the Union Branch. He went today 8.29.23to cash his check on the way to football practice, and he attends Stadium High School. He was made to stand for several minutes while people chatted with customers and other teller kiterrL stated at him. It was not until the southern lady told him someone would help him. Not one open teller greeted him or made him aware they could assist. They literally stated at my son. This branch and its staff is horrible. I will drive him to Union to prevent him, a child being mDe to feel less than cause od their biased!! Horrible way to treat a teenager, I'm sure, had he matched their skin tone, would have been more welcomed. I'll be looking for a different bank, Umpqua seems to lack diversity anyway.

I went to withdraw money from this location’s ATM. After it confirmed my transaction the system timed out and I never received my funds. When I called this location to let them know the issue the did not even care to rectify the situation or offer a solution. I highly suggest against using their ATM if you plan to withdraw money. I had to call my bank and dispute the charge and now I have to wait till my funds are restored.

I just had a similar experience to crispedero's review. I sold my car to a lovely older couple and they paid me via a cashier's check from their bank (this bank) made out to me. So the next day i visited this branch to cash the check. It took almost an hour to cash it. At first, they asked for my ID. Of course. A few minutes later, she ask's for a second id. Ok. A few more minutes go by and im assuming they are getting the money since it was for quite a bit. Nope. Now they ask for my social security number. Excuse me? I politely decline (not everyone here is a citizen...) and they tell me they cannot cash it without my SSN. Remember, this is a verified cashiers check from them made out to me and I've shown 2 ID's at this point. I've never been asked for my social security number to cash a check. I reluctantly give them my SSN. So much for safeguarding information. A few minutes later go by and then they ask for my driver's license again and my occupation. I'm not kidding. This wasn't a curious questions from the teller of my career. This was information "needed" to cash their check. Incredible. You want to know my occupation to cash your cashier's check made out to me. I'm not opening up an account here! I'm just here to cash your check! lol Finally, after almost an hour of waiting...they cash the check. They explain that since the amount was over $3000, it was their standard protocol. I highly doubt that. Should've said "lawyer" when they asked for my occupation. See how fast it would've gotten cashed then.

Recieved a Columbia Bank check from my work literally next door. Valid check, valid ID, she starts asking me questions about the check. Calls my work, and when no one answers refuses to cash the check. After a few embarrassing calls, my boss says everything is cleared up, and they have NEVER had an issue in 6 years with ANYONE cashing a check there. Clearly Miss Weidner was judging me based on my appearance. I won't accept checks from this bank, and will not return. I suggest you do the same. Please let them know we don't stand for this ugliness in Tacoma.

Fast friendly service whether you're a customer or just cashing your paycheck there because that's the bank your boss uses.
