Great selection of international foods and holiday specials from around the world. Plenty of kitchenware and gadgets. An interesting selection of good quality furniture as well. Every trip here is an adventure to see what is new.

I love wandering the aisles here. Not much to tell about the products, since that's available online. BUT they do have great clearance sections and great staff! Every time I go there, the staff is so helpful and make sure I'm getting the all the discounts!
I also really like coming here for candy stocking stuffers!

I went in to buy throw pillows they had a rack of pillows sign said all throw pillows 20%off the pillows I chose were $44.99 checker was very nice very friendly when I got to my car checked receipt and I didn’t get the sale price so I went back in I was told by the manager that the pillow I chose wasn’t a throw pillow so it wasn’t on sale I said that is very misleading and I told him they shouldn’t be on a rack that says ALL throw Pillows he was rude and said so do you want a refund in most cases they would say oh sorry and honor the sign oh well

Neat stuff but poor layout. Flow of traffic hard to work around. Wait for people to move or your blocked in an area. Kind of a maze but very unique items. Was looking for outdoor living items. Nice selection of different snacks and wine.

I came in to return an item today. The cashier asked if I had the same card I used to purchase it, ending in XXXX. I couldn’t find any card ending in those #s, so I tried my PayPal one via ApplePay, thinking it could’ve been the one. The cashier then called for his manager, Jorge, to sign off on the return. When Jorge came over, he explained that every time I use ApplePay, it changes the last 4 digits of the card I used (and that’s why I didn’t recognize the last four digits the cashier was asking for), and that I just have to make sure I tap the correct card that was used to buy the item or the funds won’t be put back into my bank. At the same time he explained that, I was able to find the original transaction on my debit card, and told him that was helpful and made more sense. When I opened up ApplePay to use the correct card this time, Jorge had already completed the transaction. I asked if he could cancel that transaction but was told he couldn’t do anything about it at that point, and that I would need to call World Market customer service. I told him that would be an inconvenience for something that wasn’t my fault. He said that he didn’t know I already scanned my card when he was called over by the cashier and that it wasn’t his fault either. I told him that would be a communication issue between the cashier and him and that the cashier should’ve told him more details about the situation. I then reiterated that spending time on the phone with customer service is an inconvenience for me. The cashier asked, “What is it that you are asking for” I mean I hear you, but what is it that you are wanting?” I said, “An apology would’ve been nice because none of you guys have said sorry for this inconvenience.” The cashier said they were sorry and explain that the register is so old that they don’t have the capability to reverse the return transaction. I told him thank you and that I appreciated it.
I understand that mistakes happen. I just did not appreciate how the manager handled the interaction and I expected more out of someone in a leadership position. In my line of work, when a client is inconvenienced by my job, I apologize to them on behalf of my workplace, because that’s what good leaders do. Even after his cashier stepped up and apologized, Jorge failed to say sorry. This one and only star is for the cashier that outshined him in professionalism.

Love this store, and all the awesome treats here. They even carry my favorite honey comb candy from Australia as well as my favorite hot sauce. What I don't love so much is getting the stink eye from the old lady at the register when I walk in. I do understand it is Tacoma, and people come in and probably try to steal stuff all the time. But that ain't me. She was an angel once we purchased something tho🤷 Que Sera Sera
