I’ve used this pharmacy for many years with a lot of success. Unfortunately, something has changed and I feel compelled to leave a review. The staff has completely rolled over and the service has really declined. Multiple delays and long waits to fill prescriptions that were supposed to be already filled (according to the texts that they sent to me). With that said, the waits are inconvenient, but the need for me to return on “another day” is the real killer. At this point, I am definitely reconsidering my choice of pharmacies.
Update: Just got home with the prescriptions that I was waiting for when I wrote the original review, and it was wrong again! So done.

A great place except for one thing, Frank. It’s been frustrating talking to him in the past but, this most recent time I could not even believe what I was hearing. I asked about a prescription and every time I mentioned the
medication, lidocaine rinse, he would say I
Don’t have a prescription for chlorhexadine. This went on for a few minutes and then Thankfully someone else came up and showed him on the computer what it was. You’ve got an employee that clearly is not understanding what is being said to him and that’s down right dangerous when we are talking about medication.

Paul and the rest of the CVS team at the Tacoma location (in Target) are phenomenal- great service and guidance, and always discreet, careful to guard patient information!

Young Asian kid behind counter... Not professional at all.. He was extremely rude. I will never do business or recommend business at this location.

The employee who helped me at the counter was very nice. However, he seemed stressed because the line for the pharmacy was very long and he was the only person getting people their medications, and I only saw two more people in the back. For a busy pharmacy like this there should be more people on staff, especially during the busy times! I arrived between 4:15 and 4:30 and it took me over thirty minutes to get to the front of the line.

Appalling customer service! CVS Tacoma definitely scrapped the bottom of the barrel in order to staff this location. The pharmacist, D. Campbell, is extremely belligerent and lacks the compassion and empathy that the profession entails. Unfortunately, she sets the tone for most of the staff there. In more than one occasion, I have seen her berate customers and even coworkers. Today, I had the displeasure of dealing with them twice; partly due to their incompetence but mostly because of Campbell's confrontational demeanor. Worse pharmacy ever!

Wow! This pharmacy is usually pretty slow, prescriptions not ready even though you got texted they were, etc. You basically have to stand in line to let them know you're there, then get back in line to pick up your Rx. Today though... The man who helped me (Mr. F) blew my mind. I knew my Rx would have some issue so I had a paper Rx from my Vet. Mr. F checked the computer and said " well, we don't have any of those pills here right now, you'll have to come back tomorrow". Confusion... I asked if I could get the prescription filled for a smaller amount since my dog is epileptic and needs his pills and I literally get it filled there every time for years. Mr.F said "no, we don't have any here, you'll just have to come back tomorrow" I kept pushing "what about a different CVS or pharmacy because I need these pills before tomorrow". A man in the back (the pharmacist) heard us and comes over to inquire. Him and Mr. F type some things, etc... waiting waiting. Well. WOULDN'T YOU JUST KNOW IT!!?!? My prescription will be ready in 20 minutes... All of it. How did we possibly go from "no pills here at all" to a full 120 pills? Does Mr. F not know how to look at pill inventory? Does he not know how to navigate the computer? What if I had been someone who couldn't advocate for themselves and he sent me away without my medication? I honestly feel his lack of awareness could be detrimental to certain individuals. Target front desk told me they receive complaints about this individual all the time, they knew exactly who I was talking about. Seems to me CVS should do some testing or something. Mr. F is going to end up costing them a lawsuit.
TLDR : Was told there were no pills for my Rx and to come back tomorrow, when in fact there were pills, even though I was told there weren't any in stock.
Update: I spoke with the pharmacist. They can check for different NDCs which not everybody knows... Still. Mr. F should be less content to send people away and more willing to exhaust all available resources.

They are too busy to make a call for prescriptions to be transferred... I have been on the phone for 2 days trying to figure out where we can get our prescriptions filled and apparently cvs is the only place to get it with our insurance I have called every pharmacy and left with this place that has no time to do their job I was told to do something that I already did but the faster way to get what we need is for them to just make a call and transfer it over not sure of which guy is back there but maybe they shouldn't be able to talk with patients

This place needs to get zero stars. The laziest, not knowledgeable, and the most unprofessional people on earth. The only confident person, male lead tech does not work there anymore. The current pharmacist is extremely incompetent, worlds can’t explain. Nothing is ready on time, auto refills are never filled. Take your business elsewhere.
