Best vintage/antique shop in Tacoma! It’s a smaller shop, but there’s so much to ooo and aaah over 🤩 The owner is super friendly too!

I reached out to Dion following the requirement to find a last minute costume for an Expo I was attending. I needed, urgently, a Cowboy outfit and something for a 1920’s Harlem Nights event.
Dion went over and above to help me pick out the right outfit and accommodate my limited timings.
The store is full of incredible items, for purchase or rent.
I cannot recommend Dion and this store enough for all your needs. If you don’t believe me just pop in and you’ll see what I mean.

Very cool shop. Prices are a little on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. The items in this store are clean and taken care of. Lots of old clothes with various styles and time periods.

I wanted an outfit for the Washington State Renaissance Faire. I was able to rent boots, sword, vest and tunic at a reasonable price. The transaction was easy with a form and deposit. I would be visiting again. I am also able to get fashion tips and historical information on clothing and the intersectionality of popular culture.

The owner is a truly lovely man! Extremely personable and has a lot of fascinating things on offer! You will walk in and leave with stories and smile, even if you don’t buy anything. Ships and owners like this are one of the reasons I love Tacoma!

Amazing vintage store. Good collection of curated clothes and accessories, unique pieces in very good condition. Not cheap but you are not going to find these special pieces easily. My husband bought a really cool 100% wool pea coat from Vietnam war era. Owner is a very nice and polite gentleman.

Visited a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the owner, though I didn't catch his name! Really cool guy with fun stories who obviously just lives and breathes vintage. I wasn't browsing clothing that day so I didn't look through the bulk of his wares, but what I glanced in passing and the one or two racks I did flip through were full of genuine vintage gems - and priced as such for what I could see. His stuff is awesome, just don't come with a thrift store mindset! This is not clothing off the rack at goodwill, not things you'll want to pick up and wear to your retail job. If I'm in the market for something special for an event in the future, I'll definitely look here. I did browse through a number of his shoes and he had some amazing unusual vintage Doc Martens etc for great prices.
Clothing aside, he has a handful of display cases with oodles of vintage jewelry and accessories, as well as a fun mishmash of small antiques and ephemera. I spent most of my visit examining the jewelry cases, and he was more than happy to pull out all of the bits and bobs I wanted to look closer at. I was also on the hunt for uranium glass and tickled to find a few pieces hiding in displays full of jewelry or propping up other items! None were marked with prices so I had to put on my big boy pants and ask. He was surprised by my interest but happy enough to put a number on most, all reasonable even though he could've easily inflated his price in the face of my obvious interest! Very honest seller. In the end I left with a beautiful antique sterling and amber ring plus a fun uranium glass dish with a little deal on both. Next time you're on antiques row stop in for a fun chat and some beautiful vintage!

IF YOU DON’T WANT TO OWN A BUSINESS, DON’T. IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS, DON’T. My encounter with the owner of this store and my attempts to visit were futile and fruitless as every attempt I made to shop here resulted in me leaving disappointed after finding out the shop was closed. I had been visiting Seattle and went out of my way to travel to Tacoma on New Year’s to visit D Haberdashery as well as the stores adjacent on the same street. I had asked the owner if he was to be open on New Years in which he responded “Yes I may”. This was through an Instagram exchange. I acknowledged this and then responded by saying that I was planning to pop by then. Please note that the hours posted on this shop’s address on Google indicated that it would be open on New Years as well as the day following. Also, please note that this shop has an Instagram and was fully capable of posting any announcements on there to make their customer’s aware of any issues that had arisen. However, upon arriving to this store on the aforementioned day, it was closed along with every other store on the block. Fine, New Years is a day in which many decide to close, but then make your customers aware of this by updating your hours. Or just do anything. Upon calling the shop I was told that the following day which would’ve been a STANDARD WORK DAY would have the owner of the shop in attendance with the shop open at the posted time, being 11:00am. I then travelled all the way back to Tacoma after doing so the day prior and showed up at 11:00, just to find that the store owner was not in the shop and that the shop was closed. I thought this was a sick joke at first. I mean, what is going on here??? No announcements on social media, no changing of the hours on Google, nothing, nothing, nothing. Just irresponsible silence. The other stores on the same block, which were also supposed to be open at 11:00 were closed as well. I truly thought that I was being made to believe that I was the villain here. That I was bothering these shops and begging for them to serve me. I soon found out that the owner of this shop had suffered some sort of medical accident, which I have no way of knowing is true or not. For all I know, this could be another lazy attempt to not show up to work on a scheduled work day. I mean, with how negligent the other shops in the area are, I have no reason to believe otherwise. If a medical accident did occur, a quick post on social media would’ve been the bare minimum. Overall, I feel as though I had wasted hours of my vacation time travelling to show up to a shop that just didn’t care, which is just incredibly, incredibly unfortunate. I have never left a review like this but I am just so appalled. Truly, truly appalled.

Went in looking for a very specific type of green suit jacket, and found exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this shop, as there is a plethora of misc. clothing items and accessories!

Cool store as far as a few unique items. However, I was disappointed that the first item I picked up the owner immediately told me that it wasn’t for sale. Many of the items that I was interested in did not have a price tag and I wasn’t about to ask and be turned down again so I browsed and left. The place also has an odd smell, but I’m sure that’s due to all of the used clothes. I would definitely be washing anything purchased here.
