I'm an avid retro game collector and spend more money than my wife is happy about on said collectibles and games. About a month ago, I bought 3 cheap gameboy micro faceplates that retail for 10 bucks. The first one fit perfectly, and I liked it, so I kept the other two off to the side. I live about 40 miles away from this store, BTW.
I finally open the remaining to find they are obviously defective. One has a huge scratch, and the other is so bubbled you couldn't see the game you were playing. Ironically, the one with a scratch was more usable. I figure this is a customer service layup. Yes, I'm outside of the exchange range. However, I'm a repeat customer had a receipt and it was less than 30 days. These are not expensive, and they are obviously defective. Any cashier with any sense is gonna say, "No problem, let me take care of that for you."
Well, as you can tell from the 1 star, that isn't what happened. They were gonna, again ironically, exchange the one with the scratch, but not the one with the bubbled surface? I explained that the right thing to do would be to exchange it. The cashier griped about it. I told him it would be shame to lose a customer who spends money at your store over an obvious defective item that's only 10 bucks retail. He replied that he didn't wanna lose his job. I told him if he loses his job over this, he's got bigger problems. I then informed them they could keep their trash(as it was unusable) and left. I can firmly say I'll never spend another dollar there. For contrast, I dropped about 200 at Smash Bros. video games down the road the same day. The very definition of jumping over a dollar to pick up a penny.Would 5/5 recommend Smash bros video games at their tumwater and tacoma locations. It's game over for game over video games, tacoma. Would not recommend. This was 5/12/24 at around 12:40pm.

Stumbled upon this shop the other day and I was able to find a psp battery and charger! The guy at the front was incredibly helpful. He found the exact battery my specific psp model needed. I hadn’t seen my psp power on for over 9 years! I’m very happy with the overall experience of shopping here.

I see why they it call game over, game over experience for everyone involved, including their employees. They have no clue how to operate a business or treat their employees or customers. Avoid this place and shop elsewhere, a small business nearby, where people are treated with at least some dignity and respect. Supporting local people too.
