I love going to Grit City Fitness and Performance. Grit City Fitness is an exceptional gym that truly lives up to its name. From the moment you step foot inside, you can feel the energy and determination that permeates the atmosphere. I have been a client at Grit City Fitness for over 5 years. The owner, Jeff Jowers, has been my personal trainer all of that time. At almost 60 years old, I am stronger than I have ever been and I continue to reach new PR’s regularly. As a Deputy Sheriff still working the streets, strength and endurance are critical for me. Even at my advanced age, I can still run down 20 year old bad guys. I give Jeff all the credit for that. Jeff tailors each workout based on my fitness goals and can make adjustments on the fly based on my energy levels on any particular day. There are no cookie cutter workouts at Grit City and no two people receiving personal training from Jeff will have the same workout. Grit City offers a fitness program for anyone at any fitness level. If you are not looking for personal training, Jeff also offers group classes for both small and large groups all of which are at very reasonable prices. I really can not recommend Grit City Fitness enough. Give Jeff a chance and get yourself in the best shape of your life.

I've been coming to this establishment for 10+ years. The owner (Jeff) and his team have helped me reach every goal I've established throughout this time. Even though my goals have changed over this time period, they've been able to re-adjust accordingly and help set out what's needed to achieve and complete my end result.Very well educated and also informative. Don't hesitate to check this place out, these guys will take care of you in every aspect!

Let me tell you my story and how Jeff & Grit City has helped!I have always struggled with my weight and exercise. Then earlier this year, I realized I needed outside accountability and help to build a good relationship with exercise and food, not only for me, but for my baby girl. Jeff and the Grit City Community was recommended to me by a colleague at work, and it has been an amazing experience. The adaptation for my newcomer skill level and as I progressed, as well as, the encouragement for all stages of people’s fitness journey has been seen in both individual, small groups, and large group classes by the trainer and fellow gym members.Jeff has worked with my journaling, strength and cardio training, and building habits that aren’t for just short term. He verbally confirms and then checks in through texts and emails. He consistently asks what was a struggle and how I can do better, as well as, celebrating my successes with me each week. As I have changed in the time I have been there, he has also helped me by adapting my goals… pushing me to be better.I would highly recommend Grit-City and Jeff to anyone who wants to get results or to challenge themselves!

Been going to the this gym for about a year and it's been great! They really cater to your fitness goals. They meet you wherever you're at on your fitness journey and push you towards your goals without judgement! Everyone at this gym is friendly too, which is a plus.

Great gym and coaches who offer personal training, small group coaching and large group training options. They cover all aspects of health and fitness and work to meet you where you are to help you reach and succeed with your health and fitness goals.

Friendly staff. They are very supportive of me to assist me to reach my goals. I have lost 88lb since joining Planet Fitness. The personal training classes are great. I can focus on upper or lower toning or both depending on how much time I have that day. The classes are broken down that way. Thank you Planet Fitness.

Been here for about 9 months. Keep coming back 'cause every workout is killer and always end up feeling great after. Jeff and the other clients of the gym are so friendly, supportive and helpful too. Variety of activities and equipment is stellar!

I've been at this gym for 10 years and highly recommend it. I joined after a heartbreaking divorce which left me with low self esteem and this place helped me get that back. Jeff is a fantastic coach. His workouts are always different which keeps it interesting. It's so much better than joining one of the big box gyms where you are left to figure it out your own. It's worth investing in yourself. Life is too short not to!
