This place sucks.... The first time I went there I asked for new strings on my $2000 guitar...they(the manager and the retard tech)broke it permanently and put new strings on it... (Total retard fucks I say...) The next time I went there by mistake I accidentally tried to get a amplifier...I find one(took forever since no one knows anything there),and ask the manger to sell it(even a monkey could do this, right?)he say he can do it because its against the law... then I thank him for for nothing... And the last time I go there to get a guitar pick..I ask the floor salesman(Dragon) to find one and he gets the cheapest one there ($10 box)..I assume he knows something so I take it (opps)I take it home and try them...There are so cheap they go into the trash In five minutes... Everi, this place sucks, they can sell, fix stuff or know stuff..

Oh Guitar Center, you thrill me, you chill me. A fantastic daydream for someone that loves making music, but for the left handed, continued disappointment. In a store with 200 guitars in it, only 2 lefties, and not of great quality. The Staff is generally fine, but when asking them about Left Handed instruments they will often look at you in a way that says "They make left handed guitars!?" So, off to American Music again where they do something bold and exciting like stock instruments for the lefties...

Love this place! There's so much to look at and test out. Not to mention some great deals and helpful staff. Looking forward to setting up my new to me kit!

I’ve been a guitar Center customer for over 30 years. Kenny is rude and has no business running this store like this! An absolute shame. Just was in there to try and buy myself a birthday present and a new guitar for my son.everyone was annoyed at me for asking for help. I can’t believe how poorly run the store is.Support small businesses go elsewhere!

They probably should hire people that are going to offer somewhat decent of customer service to work their customer service desk. I asked a couple simple questions and he just seemed really frustrated with me. The item showed in stock on the website and I come in and they don’t have it. Maybe looking to see where else might have it would have been nice. I asked if he could lookup where they might have what I needed and just got a sigh and a stare… thanks anyways

This Guitar Center location has become a second home for our 15 year old grandson who has been going here for over a year now, ever since our first visit when we were looking for a bass. One of their great lessons instructors (Adam Stewart) overheard us talking about learning to play and pulled him aside and gave him a quick lesson and encouragement on the spot. We signed up for lessons, bought a beginner bass with their help and now he is attending School of the Arts with a focus on music! All of the sales staff as well as instructors have been terrific! Patient, welcoming, low pressure sales, always with a focus on the customer and making sure YOU are happy. Can’t say enough good things about this store!

Brando helped me during my visit. I came in looking for a fender jazz bass, but the one I wanted was back ordered. He showed me a different fender jazz, this one with an active pickup. I got cables and a guitar stand. It was a great experience.

Great customer service here! The piano I wanted only had one left on display not in a box. Beau the manager cleaned it for us & threw in a new stand as well. Great store to shop at :)

Went here to buy a Microphone and received very good customer service. I did not get the employee name but he showed me all the different microphones they had, what I was looking for in particular like if I was using it for gaming, podcasting, singing and I walked out spending less money than planned with a microphone that works amazing! It was a blue yeti. Thanks Tacoma Guitar Center for your help!

Employees care more about sales than helping a customer find the right instrument. I asked the sales person for assistance he said he'd be there shortly then spent the next half hour ringing people up and working on someones guitar at the check out counter. He made me feel like I wasn't worth helping. I ended up walking out without being helped.

I had the pleasure of visiting this business this morning, not to purchase anything in particular, rather to "score" some guitar strings. A gentleman whom I supposed was the manager, perhaps even the owner, came out of his office and offered to help. I explained that I am a woodturner, looking for guitar strings that are ideal for making a "burning device", creating interest to any woodturning. (If you saw the device I created, you would suspect it was a garrotting device). After explaining my needs, the manager/owner went yo their recycle box and fished out several suitable lengths of strings and did not charge a penny for them. That kind of business survives in this country because customers are key to success. Should I, or my friends ever need anything related to music, Guitar Center Tacoma would be at the top of our choice!

Walked in to buy a pedal, but had some questions. Took me forever to get someone over because all of the employees were standing aroubd chatting and drinking coffee and obviously too busy jokung around to help. Finally, got a kid over and he couldnt really answer questions and just totally walked away mid coversation. Then, I had to chase someone else down, and I assume he was the manager. Literally could not care about previous employee's behavior. I wanted to test the pedal, so he hooked it up. No assistance when it wasnt giving output. So then I opened up the battery case. The battery was not plugged in and still in plastic. Honestly, no one wanted to sell anything in this store. I even started looking at guitars, but decided to take my $600 over to Ted Brown instead. Will not be surprised when this place closes because of the recession because they will have deserved it at that point for ther lack of cs.
