Been with Harborstone for years. Best decision my life ditch the bank and join a credit union. I recently was help by Valentino and worlds can’t explain the exceptional service I received. Mr. Flores went above and beyond to help me thru a difficult time I was facing. Outstanding service like always. Harborstone I always been treated like family and they always provided 5 star service

I came here with a deposit and worked with, Gabby. I had an amazing experience. All of my money options were explained to me with efficiency. I left feeling confident about my decision, along with plans for the future use of my deposit.Aside from this last experience, Harborstone Credit Union is the best location i have ever experienced for banking. I have never experienced an overdraft fee, or an ATM fee. I would never store my money at another location.

I got approved for a loan for $10,000 and the loan officer Mrs. Rivera stop communicating with me regarding my check being overnight to me. I talked to Dawn in digital operations and she was rude, condensing, and combative during the call. She put a hold on my account and they never mailed me my check.

Was charged for safe deposit box with out a call or letter email . Until i called about the charges teller said they would reverse the charge when i brought the key in . I have a heloc with Harbour. Deff will not refinance with them when they are not ethicall and fair with charges

3 hours with card member services, 2 hrs with harbor stone credit union I had a problem with a hotel stay, the hotel wouldn't offer me a refund so I called harborstone seeking help. Nothing has been done, I get switched around over and over. Harborstone will tell me it's the fraud department, fraud department says it's the dispute department, dispute department says it's Harborstone that needs to issue the refund. Talked to a guy today who said card member services should be able to issue a refund, i called them and they transferred me around to multiple people. After this by the third person and two calls dropped I was told I needed to call harborstone for the provisional credit. Called them they stated they couldn't do anything and that it was the fraud department for card member services, I was transferred again and told I needed to tell them " I have disputed this before haven't heard updated status. Looking to receive provisional credit because of the merchant not working with me to provide monetary resolve". I did that once I called in they stated it wasn't their department because there was no fraud. I have been transferred not to the dispute department for card me ever services I am basically getting sent over and over in circles and no one is helping me, just constantly transferring. I have been dealing with this my entire Monday and still not an answer from anyone. Also card mem ever services hangs up on me, I had one card member services woman tell me the fraud department didn't have a phone number and they only had an email and fax. When I asked to speak with someone else she said have a great day then she hung up on me. After all of this a woman named Rebecca gets on the phone with me tells me she would have to write in a ticket to get things going from the Harborstone fraud department. She is extremely condescending. Tells me that she isn't even sure if they will give me one because harborstone doesn't give out money for disputes often. I asked her if harborstone ever had given a provisional credit before on a dispute. Of course she said yes. So why am I not being issued one? I believe because I worked for this company they are being prejudice and will not help me, or offer any solutions. I have tried many times to get a loan or credit cards for this company and have always been denied. They do not offer me anything but stress and unresolved issues. I would never recommend this crap union to Anyone.

I was approved for a personal loan on 9-7-2023 for $10,000 with loan officer Mrs. Rivera. I requested for the loan to be sent to me overnight to my mailing address on 8-7-2023. Mrs. Rivera told me that it would be a fee for the loan to be shipped to me overnight through ups. She emailed me the different cost for the overnight shipment and I choose the (2nd day overnight-$75.76). I spoke with Mrs. Rivera this morning on 9-8-2023, and she confirmed that it would be mailed out today between 12-1pm. I called her at 2:00pm and asked her if she had the tracking number for the check? She told me that she had just came back from lunch and she would send it to me in a few minutes. I then called her back to inquire if ups had already come to pick up the check, and she didn't answer the phone. Now when she was processing the loan application before it was finalized she was very fast and prompt to responding to me. Now that the money is ready to be funded she literally stopped all communication with me. I called her numerous of times and emailed her in which she never responded. So I contacted live chat on my online portal and spoke to (Marcus), and was asking him if he could get the tracking number for me. I paid $75.76 for the check to be sent overnight and I wanted to make sure that the check was sent on time. He was reaching out to different people for me, and I was getting highly upset that I couldn't get in touch with Mrs. Rivera. After I left a voicemail and emailed Mrs. Rivera several times that is when she responded an (HOUR LATER). Marcus said that (Dawn) wanted me to call her and when she called me my line was busy from calling Mrs. Rivera. When I got on the phone with Dawn I explained to her my situation and instead of her apologizing for the situation at hand. She immediately said I DID NOT qualify for membership and she couldn't verify my cousin who is a member. She immediately said that I was harassing the live chat agents, and my loan officer so this entire situation was a red flag for her. I told her Mrs. Rivera never asked me for my cousins information and I don't know who they called to even verify me. I explained to her that I was trying to make sure my check was mailed out and the ups tracking number show that the shipping label was just created at 3:02pm today. Which mean if ups already picked up the packages earlier today my check wouldn't be mailed out. Instead of Dawn trying to resolve the matter she made it worse trying to make it seem like I'm a villain trying to get an update on my loan. She kept trying to tell me how I did this and that wrong pertaining to the employees at this credit union. Her main concern was all of a sudden trying to see if this loan was (LEGIT AND CALLING MY COUSIN). A $10,000 loan have been opened in my name under my social security number that I was approved for! It was your employee job to do her due diligence to verify my membership with my cousin BEFORE the membership was opened. This credit union can't approve me for a loan, finalize the loan, and then all of a sudden tell me I'm not (eligible for membership). Due to the fact (DAWN) said there are red flags and was literally trying to find a way to make this an issue due to what transpired today. This credit Union is unethical and deceptive due to the fact a personal loan was finalized, opened in my name, and the check was NEVER MAILED OUT TODAY. The employee Dawn in digital operations discriminated against me in the worse way and became very volatile towards me. She was accusing me of harassment to create a issue with me being sent the loan, was combative, rude, and unprofessional during the entire call regarding the matter at hand! During the entire conversation Dawn was speaking to me in a very condensing tone, and coming up with everything she could think of to make it an issue with disbursing me my loan. The issue wasn't about her verifying that my cousin is a member, because she stated verbatim that " they usually don't call and verify memberships". So she all o

Went to open an account with my wife and Valentino(Gabriel) was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. He was very efficient with the account opening process and wasn't rushed even though they closed in 30 minutes. He was very diligent with his question to put us on the right path to financial success and was able to get us exactly what we needed. We left with a peace of mind knowing that our finances are in great hands.

We had a very positive experience at the 74th St branch opening two new accounts with Valentino Flores. The whole branch was welcoming, greeting us upon entry. The process of opening our accounts was the right balance of careful and time sensitive.

We had an account with HCU for 33 years, and we just had the account closed a week ago. HCU was the best financial institution for a long time in my opinion, and that is why we kept the account open even though we moved around a lot due to military service. I, however, noticed the service wasn't good as used to be. For example, I called a couple of times to inquire about the CD offering 5 % for new money over 5K. The MSRs assumed that we didn't have the 5K. She said to me that it has to be 5K and over. I was wondering why I have to explain to her that we have the $$$. This was one of the incidents and we deserve better service than what I received.

I've been with them for years, and I am gong to change Credit Unions. Getting a hold of someone is kind of a Night mare, but the biggest reason is that that hold on to your direct deposits for 3 days. They've been getting the direct deposits from the same company for 8 years and yet they still feel that they need to wait. Sound Credit Union, and BECU actually give you access to your money, right when you get it....what a concept.

I simply don't see this credit union being there in 10 years . There is a reason they offer super high certificate of deposit rates because they are making some really bad loans.

I have been banking with Harborstone for years and have always had a positive experience. I have recently had the pleasure of meeting Valentino who has helped me and my family on a couple separate occasions and he was very helpful, professional, and friendly each time.

Harborstone had put a hold on my mobile deposit, which they've never done before, and I needed money right then..., she had no problem overriding the hold, and getting me my money. Great friendly ppl ? ? ? ? ?
