The hotel is great! And Nikkii deserves a raise.
We travels for 12 hours straight and arrived after midnight. We were TIRED. Nikkii was professional and friendly and helped welcome us to our first visit to Washington and is the #1 catalyst for our trip to be fun and exciting! It seems small, but after so much struggle to get to our hotel, the staff make all the difference. Thank you Nikkii for your work and kindness, it means the world to us.
The facility was clean and upgraded, we love the temperature in the room, the bathrooms were clean and stocked, and the breakfast is top class!!! Highly recommend.

Rooms were great, pool was hazy green and hot tub controls were broken. Not what I would have expected

Clean rooms, great staff, nice hotel and a great place to stop and get some rest. Kimberly was so sweet and helpful in the kitchen area and Melissa was so nice when we checked in. Great place to stay along our journey.!

Bad neighborhood, snarky front desk, disgusting smell in laundry and garbage strewn through hallway that housekeepers walk right by

We had the best, kindest interaction with Melissa and Tory. They were kind at check in, but so helpful when we needed assistance printing materials for a wedding happening the next day. The hotel was clean and bed was comfy. Delicious coffee in the lobby too!

I stayed at this location for 30 consecutive days (April 21 – May 20, 2025), which qualifies the stay as tax-exempt under Washington law — WAC 458-20-166(5)(b):
“If there is a written agreement prior to occupancy that the tenant will occupy the room for 30 or more continuous days, then the entire period is exempt from retail sales tax and any applicable local taxes.”
I booked in advance through CI Travel using a qualifying personal Citi card.
Despite meeting every legal requirement, the hotel charged full lodging taxes and refused to refund them. I had to visit the hotel twice, call customer service twice, and escalate to IHG corporate before the manager, Angie, finally returned my call.
When she did, she threw out every excuse possible:
Claimed I didn’t stay “30 nights” — even though I stayed 30 consecutive days and paid for 30 nights total, including a no-show on April 20, meaning I was actually billed for 31 calendar days, even though I left early with notice.
- Claimed I didn’t use a qualifying card — I did: a personal Citi card, booked through CI Travel.
- Claimed changes to the reservation made me ineligible — again, I gave advance notice, but still completed the full 30-day stay.
- When I explained the law clearly states “days” not “nights,” she laughed at me and said, “You’re just being literal,” and “You don’t know the law.” Well Angie — you don’t know me.
This wasn’t just poor customer service — it was a frustrating, unnecessary headache.
Read the other reviews — there’s a clear pattern of unprofessionalism and trying to bend rules. Additionally, this hotel is located in a rough, high-crime area.
I’ve filed a complaint with the Washington Department of Revenue: So i guess we'll see who knows the law. I will never return to this hotel. And suggest others book somewhere safer, and stay where your time and business are respected.

Hotel is located in a bad area. Lots of transient people walking around, there is a homeless camp a couple blocks away. It appears to be a older hotel that was re-done; however they did a cheap job. The rooms have poor ventilation, so bad that the door hinges are rusted and wall paper is people off . Additionally, despite the no smoking rules the hotel smells like Marijana. I would not bring my family here. The front desk people try to be nice but ultimately are short fused. Beds are clean but I wouldn't stay in this hotel again because of the customer service.

Comfy beds, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee, sleeper sofa and walk-in shower made our roomy twin queen bed suite worth the extra cost. The hot tub works great with a cool temp pool. The breakfast was nice with pancakes and biscuits and gravy as options with the normal omelette and sausages. We felt safe with restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all helpful, especially when we needed extra towels for the pool. We always stay at Holiday Express on our travels around the nation and they rarely disappoint.

The front desk customer service staff is great and they answers questions honestly with a customer service smile. The room cozy, the view may not be extravagant but the hotel feels safe and accommodating. The Holiday Inn Express branch delivers good customer service experience and mouthwatering breakfast. When traveling for business and or pleasure, i will be staying in one of Holiday Inn’s express hotels branch.

Great hotel in a not so great location. The inside is very well done. Rooms were clean and comfy. Pool was nice. Hot tub the jets wouldn't work and you could see all the floating skin cells around you. But the temp was great. Would stay again if need to stay in tacompton again.

The place is very clean, the staff are super polite and helpful, the hotel deserves 5 stars without a doubt. The only thing that needs to change is the guest laundry. I stayed in room 219 in front of the laundry room. At 2 am, someone decided to wash clothes and while she waited, she alternated between talking on the phone and watching videos. This made it difficult for me to sleep while this person was using the laundry room. My suggestion is to limit the time of use until 9 pm or earlier, so that no one will be woken up by the noise of the washing machine or the sound of a cell phone.
