Just checked out of this hotel after staying for the rodeo this weekend. I chose this hotel specifically because the lady I spoke to when I called to confirm the pool was in working order before I booked a room told me that the pool was available 24 hours a day for adults, but kids weren't allowed between certain night hours. That really appealed to us, so we jumped on it. We also noted the free wi-fi which was awesome considering I was still trying to get some remote work done while out of state for those few days.Upon arrival at the hotel, there was a very loud stench of marijuana throughout the lobby, elevator, and hallways. We live in Oregon, so we're not unaccustomed to the fact that people here smoke, but it consistently triggered my migraines, and I spent a good portion of our time at the hotel lying in bed with a pillow over my head. Our room had no closet, dresser, or space to hang our clothing that we brought on hangers. We just had to drape them over the back of the chair in the corner. The wi-fi did not work since they're renovating the rooms, so it was off for the entire duration of our stay. I wasn't able to get the work done that I needed to, and we were pretty peeved that they advertised wi-fi but did not offer it.We have an infant and go through multiple bottles a day. I was washing her bottles in the sink and felt water splashing on my feet. The sink wasn't just leaking, it was pouring water out of the trap and all over the shelf where the towels were sitting. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to tell us that they're going to shut off the sink water for us. I told her I needed the sink since I needed to be able to wash bottles, and she apologized and offered a discount on the room since they had no other rooms available. The maintenence guy was ultimately able to come in and fix the leak so we could use the sink.We also tried to go down for a swim about 11pm just to find that the pool was not, in fact, 24 hours as we were told. It closes at 10pm. That damn pool was the only reason I booked that specific hotel. The room was OK overall. It was clean and the beds were decently comfortable, but the TV being off-center in the frame behind it really made my eye twitch ?The only redeeming qualities about our stay were the really friendly staff members, the variety of free breakfast items, and the convenient location to food and shopping. We never got that discount I was told we'd get. At least we had a place to sleep while in town.

My partner and I checked into this hotel around 5 PM for our wedding night, only to be greeted by a series of disappointments and concerns. The room had visible stains on the carpet and peeling walls, which we initially overlooked given the significance of the occasion. However, as we settled in, the issues became more apparent.Firstly, we noticed the door to our room would not properly latch unless pulled into place. Shortly there after we realized the lack of basic amenities like a TV remote, which we later discovered had to be checked out from the front desk, and limited wifi only accessible in the lobby, were inconvenient and unexpected.Upon returning to the room later in the evening, I was horrified to find a huge gash in the ceiling, making us feel unsafe using the shower. Additionally, the bottom part of the bathroom door was completely destroyed, as well with a rolled-up piece of duct tape separating the shower area from the toilet in the so-called "accessible shower." This was unacceptable and posed serious safety concerns.Further exploration of the room revealed numerous red-colored stains on the carpet, poorly patched holes in the wall, and a chair covered in unsightly stains. When we requested to be moved to another room, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked for the evening. Our request for a refund was promptly denied, citing that the damages had not been previously reported, despite their evident existence. The half-hearted attempts at covering up patching up the damages with white paint or plaster on the door as well as the walls, shows management has known about this problem for a long time, and still allows these rooms to be used. This added to our disappointment and disgust. Our overall experience left us not only disappointed but also concerned for the safety of future guests. Please save yourself the time and money from ever stepping foot in this establishment.

Do not be fooled by the outside/updated appearance on the web. This book should not be judged by its cover. Definitely NOT a family establishment. Upon arrival you are greeted by the strong scent of marijuana. We were told we had to pay $100 deposit (even though we had already paid for the room in full) for “third party billing” and they had to make a copy of our IDs to ensure that “there are no unregistered adults staying at the hotel”. The rooms are not clean and make you feel dirty just stepping in. We couldn’t get into our second reserved room because “housekeeping just didn’t clean it” (spoiler alert we checked in at 8 at night). We had children with us who couldn’t even be lured by the pool, they just wanted to leave. We (along with three other guests who were not part of our party) left to find a better place to stay where we felt safe and clean. Thankfully we were refunded. Lesson learned to read reviews and not just book for price??♀️.

While the hotel may provide adequate accommodation, our experience with the service left much to be desired. We encountered unprofessionalism and a lack of attention to detail, particularly during breakfast service. Basic amenities like coffee, tea, and hot water were not readily available, and the overall quality of service fell short of our expectations. Additionally, the hotel could benefit from updates to improve the overall guest experience. Overall, while the hotel may suffice for some, our experience highlighted areas in need of improvement to meet the standard of comfort and service we expect. - Vancity Adventure

When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk told me the reservation was cancelled and I couldn’t stay because all the rooms are taken. I called the travel agent and the choice hotel who confirmed it is indeed booked correctly. I had to rush to find another room everywhere in Tacoma area that night. We finally found a room at Holiday Inn but it’s unacceptable for this hotel to cancel my reservation and not even give me a call or email me.

If there was a zero star, I would give this hotel that. You are better off, staying out on the streets. The hostels staff are rude and tried to cuss me out over the phone. The manager was extremely rude and yelled at me over the phone. And said I should have read the reviews about this hotel, becoming low income apartments before staying here. I tried getting my money back. Just kept avoiding my phone calls. I was given the wrong room twice and even walked in on another family. The hotel is disgusting. Walls and showers are disgusting sheets are ripped and smell like smoke. And they let people smoke right in the entrance of the hotel.

This place is horrible and super shady. Not clean, rude service at the counter not a welcoming place at all. Rooms are dirty. Some days the music is so loud it's like a club and you can barely talk to the front counter staff then other days there is music that is low and at a decent level and the lady that was there when it was on was very sweet and helpful. They gave my room to someone else while we were in our room this stranger walks in (by no fault of his own he was very nice and apologetic) the service desk didn't even apologize for the mistake it freaked me and my daughter out and honestly we didn't feel safe after that but we couldn't afford to move to another hotel. The bathroom had scratches all over the door like something was locked in there. The trash cans are overflowing with trash it's just gross and frankly really sad because this place has some good potential if it had employees who took some pride in their work but they could care less.

Horrible service, workers are unreasonably rude and not welcoming. They canceled my reservation with no warning. I had called the day prior to double check my reservation, the service worker quickly answered yes to having my reservation almost like they didn’t even check… had to scramble to find another hotel- no help from them whatsoever. From what I saw it was musty and gross and nothing like their website. Would recommend the silver cloud on the waterfront much nicer and close to the same price. Stay safe out there. You deserve more.

Cancelled my room upon arrival even though I confirmed it over the phone last week? They said it was due to “construction”. Really would’ve appreciated the heads up considering it’s an event weekend & everything else is booked out.

I have stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience. I booked a room at Hotel Thea several months ago and have confirmed my reservation several times, including last week. I called today to verify my reservation for tomorrow, they informed me that my reservation had been cancelled on 1/24. It’s 2/1 today. Hotel Thea didn’t send me an email, call me, or let me know my reservation was cancelled. They told me that the company i had booked through cancelled my stay. I reached out to Priceline, they had NOT cancelled my stay. After they reached out to the hotel directly, the hotel told price line that their hotel was full and that half of their hotel was without water so they canceled my reservation and blamed it on Priceline. Again, if I wouldn’t have called to check in, I would have arrived tomorrow and had zero place to stay. I am now staying twice as far away and paying twice as much to stay in a janky hotel so that I can still go to the show I’m in town for. I had a great experience last time I stayed, this year I AM LIVID. DO NOT BOOK WITH HOTEL THEA, YOU WILL END UP WITHOUT A PLACE TO STAY AND THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU!

I’m giving them a 5 Star review strictly because of the honesty and integrity of the staff. They found my AirPods and called me when they found them. Thank you.
