Office didn't offer much help, better apartments in the area

First review: Been here 3 months. Leasing office staff have been very helpful with all of our questions, and for the most part keep an open line with us via phone, email or in person.
My dogs love it! We love it ❤️
Compared to Felony Way (Federal Way) these streets is quiet lol I think it's what we love most about the place. The gates are working again, and I feel safe knowing there's cameras everywhere. No tweaker activity that I could see as mentioned in previous reviews. Rent does not include utilities = $200 plus, valet trash $25 even if you don't use it, $35 for parking which is optional but necessary for some buildings as parking nearby is limited. $1625 for a 1 bd 1 bath with washer and dryer in unit 🙌🏽
I have a beautiful view from our living room window and balcony. I'm grateful for all the amenities. Close to a lot of stores and restaurants (6th ave). Our neighbors are quiet except on occasional wkends, we get to tune in on the latest drama. And the guy doing donuts in the parking lot at night(give it a rest already kid).
Also, they do inspections twice a year, which I agree with for safety reasons and to encourage upkeep of units.

Lakeside Landing has been an amazing experience so far and I have only lived here for 4 days!
Before moving here, I was struggling with my old apartment complex and how awful I was treated as a first time renter. When I found Lakeside Landing, let me just say that the Leasing Consultant, Yolanda, has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
I spoke with her on multiple occasions regarding my move out date at my old place and requesting an accommodation for moving in. She spoke with the maintenance team and got the apartment ready for me immediately after I found out my move out date was earlier than I expected. Since moving in, the maintenance team has been extremely helpful and on top of everything. Yolanda made me aware of the items that needed attention prior to me moving in early and maintenance got it done immediately. This Complex has such an attentive maintenance team!
All of the office people are so sweet here and I remember when I first viewed the apartment, everyone was very nice, smiled at me, and even said hello. I have never experienced such a great and welcoming community!
When I first saw my apartment, I was shocked as I didn't realize how spacious it would be. Having 2 walk-in closets is so beneficial (especially for a girly with a huge wardrobe), very big living room and such a beautiful decent-sized kitchen. Everything I have experienced so far is way more than expected! Having such a beautiful view of the pond with all of the ducks and even the sound of the water fountain is so peaceful to even fall asleep to.
I have a small Husky/Border Collie Mix who loves exploring the apartment complex as well (Chasing the ducks/squirrels and even trying to jump in the pond of course). There are so many walking paths and even a dog park on the left side of the complex that I take her to almost every day too! We wish more dogs and tenants would use it :)
I'm really looking forward to getting more settled in and being here long-term. If you're looking for a great place to live, I highly recommend you making Lakeside Landing your home as well!

New renter here!! The layout and space are great, and I haven’t had any problems with neighbors. Generally, I think management is communicative with things happening in the community, although office hours seem to fluctuate randomly and semi frequently.
Something else I find odd is the current laundry situation. Firstly, some of the dryers just don’t work very well- It’s super annoying having to either add funds on the app for another spin or switching your wet clothes to a different machine. Secondly, management seems to be jacking up the prices for no clear reason. I’ve not even lived here for 6 months and they’re already changing prices from $2.50 per wash and $2 per dry to $2.85 per wash and $2.75 per dry?? The jump is ridiculous for machines that don’t work properly AND forces you to add funds through a janky mobile app.
Not sure what’s up with the gate. I’ve yet to see it close, despite the fact I’ve seen people working on it?

Living at Lakeside Landing has been a truly peaceful and refreshing experience. I love how the water flows gently through the ponds—it creates such a calming sound outside my window. It’s not just beautiful scenery, but also a great environment for local wildlife. I often see squirrels like this little guy relaxing in the trees!
The grounds are well maintained, and the natural setting makes every walk feel like a mini-retreat. It’s rare to find an apartment complex that feels this connected to nature while still being so close to everything.
Highly recommend it to anyone who values a quiet, nature-filled community.

I’ve really enjoyed my time living at Lakeside Landing! The view of the lake and fountain is beautiful, and it’s such a peaceful place to walk around or relax. The staff is always friendly and responsive. Definitely one of the best places I’ve lived!

We have been here two year. The office staff and maintenance staff are nice and do their best. They are working to renovate things and that costs money. Overall this has been an okay place to live. This may seem like small pittance but it severely adds up over time especially when many residence live on a fixed income. The lack of pricing transparency is severely annoying.
The laundry situation is starting to feel shady. When we moved in the price of a wash was $2.25 Then it went to $2.50 in 2024. I went in today and the price was $2.85. There has been no communication about this. I get it, things are expensive and prices has to go up in response. But the no communication and the fact that you add money to the app in round numbers getting shady. You add $20 to the app and end up with some odd cents because $2.85 is not going to go nicely into $5,10 or $20 that you then have to add money to to use means that when we move out we will most like have to leave money unused in the account. You can add your own custom amount but the app will usually thow a fit when I try to do that.
The dryers are now $2.75 when they used to be $2. You usually have to add time because the dryers do not dry effectively. You can see lint build up on the vents outside and lint stuck to the walls. That is an extra $1 or $2 per dry cycle to get cloths dry.
We have submitted concerns to csc (the laundry company) as well as maintenance reports to the office and things will get better for a week, maybe, then back to issues. I really really don't care that the door was painted from white to brown to make it look nicer, I care that I am now spending double the amount a month to be able to wash clothing. I have a small family and only need to wash things once a week. Familes here with kids and pets are spending more that I am from the same subpar situation.

Helpful for handicapped. I fell half inside apt& half outside in hallway. Lady finally heard me yelling for help. She called 911 & stayedtill they came. Gave my twfrigerated& freezee items to girl cause I was take to hospital. They have brought me things from Kiosk cause I can’t do the walking. I’ve been here around 5 years ..rent 899.00till now over $1300.00 2024
