The person they have working at the front desk told me that the wait to have my tire looked at would be an hour at most. 3 hours later I finally asked for my keys back so I could get out of there and get on with my day. I'm beyond pissed. If the wait is going to be long tell people that so they can plan. I spent so much time in that store today that I heard all about the managers bathroom remodel and their plans for the weekend. I will never set foot in that place again.

I got a flat tire on I-5 and as soon as I could I pulled over. I knew there was a Les Schwab nearby and I called them immediately. I explained the situation and said it just got flat, if I can get it to you are

To assist. They said yes, bring it on in, they’ll cover it and it was under warranty.
However Grace did not say I needed it to be on my spare. Since the flat had just happened and I was literally less than a quarter of a mile away, I went in.
They told me that sorry nope no longer under warranty. And they didn’t seem to nonplussed that the information was not correctly given. But they were more than eager to upsell me on a new tire.
It was a frustrating experience. And all of my other Les Schwab experiences have been good ones. This one just was not.
In the moment, I was trying to figure out the best solution in a city i only visit for work and still trying to make the appointments I needed to make for the evening. It was a less than stellar experience and I would think twice about coming in here, working with Grace or Jarick.

Over the 30 years I’ve lived in Tacoma I’ve had mixed service here. Yesterday, our service with Danielle was excellent. Upon returning from a camping trip I noticed a tire on our trailer had low air. Upon further inspection we found a nail in the tire. We changed the tire to a spare and had it replaced (nail was in the side-wall). We made an appointment t to put metal stems on the trailer tires to accommodate our Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Danielle found a bubble in another tire that we didn’t see. We decided to replace the other 3 so we had all new tires at the same time. They didn’t have the matching tires so we were waiting for a truck to arrive. She felt so bad she sent someone to get us two more tires to complete the job. In addition, there’s only one place safe to jack up an Airstream but her hydraulic jack wouldn’t go high enough. She talked with us suggesting they regularly use the frame. I was concerned about possible damage to the trailer and she was patient while allowing us to make a call and get appropriate advice. Danielle was professional, skilled, patient and friendly the entire time. I’m more than happy to give a 5 star rating for Danielle! She even placed cardboard in the jack to avoid any scratches. Way to go, Danielle! Great service and friendly!

I came here to leave a review of my own from a recent Les Schwab experience, but feel that i should say more. I have been a customer st this Les Schwab location for 15 years and have only ever had fantastic service. Wait times are to be expected, as this is by far the busiest Les Schwab I’ve seen, even after all these years. Fantastic service every time. I see a review from Jake Hoffman, who was at the location at the same time as me and i see he has left a scathing review for these lads. Aaron has done thousands of dollars worth of work for me over the course of my 15 years with this shop and has never been anything but professional and reliable. I remember from my visit hearing some of the workers mention that this man had work done at another shop and came in to this location for the first time ever, demanding immediate service. The employees are poised, professional and never said a negative thing about this difficult customer, even though we as customers were frustrated for them. I believe that myself and this Jake Hoffman were the last customers to be taken care of before they closed up for the night, and i saw a few employees performing even more free service after hours (i had my car finished at around 10 minutes after they closed) on an old 4 runner with a customer breathing down their necks. If there is a negative review for this location, then theres likely a story behind it. Myself, family and friends all prefer to take our vehicles to this Les Schwab. Sometimes poor reviews say more about the person leaving the review than the business itself. Thank you all for your consistent hard work!

We had a flat near the Narrows bridge and eventually made it to this Les Schwab Tire Center. They were busy, but somehow they replaced the damaged tire with a matching new tire (no charge!) under warrantee in less than 30 minutes from our arrival. Very professional and they treated us well. We were back on the road and on our way. Thanks Les Schwab team!

Had a small tear in my tire sidewall. I stopped by to have someone look at it to determine if it was unsafe. Someone took a look at it immediately upon arrival and I was back on the road very quickly.

I have used Les Schwab for years. My Les Schwab is on 6th Ave in Tacoma. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Expereince was all around great.
I showed up about 30 min before closing to get my breaks checked as I thought they were making noise. I know it was close to closing so I apologized and said I could come back at a different time and they were able to get my car in and looked at with 15-20 min.
I always LOVE that the stores/shops inside are dog friendly as I usually have my pups with me. The store desk/admin greeted them with excitement and treats when we came in to wait and they pups were very happy.
The maintenance techs were quick and explained to me what they checked, did additional tire checks and replaced some of the tire knob things that had come off for me.
I always recommend Les Schwab to friends and family

Went to the 6th Ave Tacoma store today with a slow leak in tire. When I arrived, I asked to replace the tire. They were busy and said if I wanted to leave, they would text me when they were ready. After getting my text, they immediately took the car in. They came back 15 minutes later and said I didn't need to replace the tire and they did a quick patch. While there I asked to have my tires rotated. 15 minutes later the job was done. They went over the work and then said there was no charge for the patch or the tire rotation. These guys are amazing and their customer service is tops! I'll be going there for all my tire needs.

A superb Les Schwab location. Completely trustworthy. The staff will get you in and out as soon as possible, with what you need. Guarantees are honored without difficulty. Reasonable credit is available for expensive items. The best place for brakes and tires. I only wish they offered complete auto care.
