The Museum of Glass is a top contemporary art museum located on the Tacoma waterfront. It features a large glass studio where visitors can watch artists create art in real time, along with a variety of displays showcasing different artists and styles. The museum has a stunning gallery and offers unique programs, including opportunities to decorate glass plates. Visitors appreciate the helpful, well-informed staff and the beautiful facility. During special events like the Glass Festival, admission is often free, and new installations are frequently added. Unfortunately they were under renovation so most of the exhibits were closed. However, they did give us a free ticket to return when it reopened.

Glass art is fascinating. They are under construction right now, but they still have some displays and the hot box (live glass making) is still open. They are also giving guest passes with each ticket you buy, so you can return when they complete construction.
