About Pierce County District Court
Pierce County District Court receives mixed reviews from visitors. Many appreciate the supportive environment, especially during difficult times, noting that staff do not take advantage of vulnerable situations. Jurors feel that the court emphasizes fair trials and maintains an open mind, although some express frustration over the reimbursement process for travel expenses, which can take a long time. Visitors often mention that the staff, such as those assisting with small claims or filing documents, are friendly and helpful, providing guidance and support when needed. The courthouse is generally easy to navigate, and security is described as friendly. However, common complaints include long wait times and a need for more employees to manage the flow of visitors. While the building itself is nice, parking can be challenging, and the presence of unusual behavior outside is noted as part of the court experience. Overall, Pierce County District Court is viewed as a place with caring staff, though improvements in efficiency and communication could enhance the visitor experience.

Was almost late because I didn't know what floor or room to go to. The people in the clerks office (through security and to the left at the end of the hallway) they told me where to go, and I was very grateful. Maybe giving the court a call a couple of days before asking for directions is a good idea.
