This Plato’s closet is horrible as hell. The employees not only are rude and disrespectful ex. Snatching your wallet from your hand and digging thru it for your ID, they also will shove every clothes that was perfectly holder when handed to them into the bag without a thought in their head. They also gave me back my bag of clothes missing some pieces and proceeded to tell me that they aren’t accepting anything at the moment even tho I called before hand to see what there accepting and the lady on the phone said everything

Great place and always friendly. The manager Sarah is always helpful and very friendly. My favorite Plato's closet to buy and sell for sure. I see negative reviews and majority are saying they low ball prices when buying. People need to remember first this is a business and there to make money. Secondly just because your clothes has tags and are "brand new" doesn't mean that's what they are worth and they are only going to purchase what's in style and obviously what they know will sale. Third- they are very open about what they will pay and its usually about 30% of what they think they will get. I have sold literally thousands of dollars of clothes and shoes to this location and others across the country and Plato's closet will pay more than any other place that I have found. I recommend going into the store and seeing what they have on the racks and asking what they are looking for. I do this and have always tried bringing in those items if possible and I have never sold everything I brought in but with a little research and asking questions it will make your trip there and also the employees jobs much easier and obviously they are not trying to offend anyone by not purchasing but they know what inventory is needed and just because it's NWT's doesn't mean they will be able to sale it. Just a little tip from someone who has done many transactions with numerous Plato's closets buying and selling.

I don’t live in the area so I called asked what kinda of things they were taking told them what I had they said those are things they wanted and to come down after waiting for over 2 hours we ask they said it’s been done and just didn’t let us know they didn’t want anything but doesn’t look like everything is there so yeah really poor service and rude people

After waiting an hour, I was told that I had good stuff but to bring it back in a month due to overstock. Honestly I feel a little discriminated, the 2 ladies selling before me today were white and they both made a profit and were not told there was "overstock". While I was waiting they pretty much greeted everyone but me and didn't ask if I had been helped, when I received my text I went to the register and I was told to hold on while they finished their irrelevant conversation about an unfavorable coworker they currently have, unprofessional. I searched that whole place during the hour and there was not a single piece I would buy. The majority of clothes was dirty and worn not to mention over priced. Better off paying for shipping on poshmark, or mercari. Better quality, better deals there.

Love some of their clothes there. But when it comes to them buying clothes they only take shein or anything that’s trendy. I brought in clothes that people wear today and they bought 4 of my items of 10 clothes and I looked back ant what they didn’t take and it was disappointing. And for princess polly dress I gave and the other clothes they bought they gave me $18??! Are you kidding lol. They don’t ever take “regular” clothes

I honestly have no idea how they have anything to sell in this store. I brought in a 130 dollar Nike Windbreaker and 150 dollar adidas goretex shoes. I was told after waiting 25 minutes that they were only accepting shorts and tank tops and that they have too many shoes in stock. It’s the first week of February. WTH? I just sold the adidas shoes for 75 on offer up. They are a complete joke. DO NIT WASTE YOUR TIME. You have been warned.

Don’t waste your gas to get here. They offered me $7.20 for a brand new, tags attached, $115 Fabletics jacket. Which is even one of Plato’s preferred brands.I had a negative experience years ago, when they rejected everything from 2 full trashbags of clothes. This time I figured, I have a brand new, tags attached, brand name bomber jacket that is currently in style from a brand they want, so I was sure to get something decent for it.$7.20??? For a brand new, expensive, brand name jacket????? A rip off and a joke. For the folks bringing in cheaper clothes, don’t let them make you feel bad about what you’re bringing in. Plato is the problem, not your clothes.

Does not really seem to buy much recently, but store is clean, associates are nice, prices are good, and inventory is MUCH cuter than Tukwilla location

This place is a great place to BUY clothes. I have got many nice items for a reasonable price here. I have not sold clothes here, but highly recommend if you’re looking for any of the popular brands.

This Plato’s closet is horrible. I went to the one in tukwilla and it was nice. Had good prices. The one in Tacoma has a bunch of kids working there. The prices are as much as you would pay online. save your time and don’t bother going here.

I went here to sell two trash bags full of clothes and shoes. I know well that they won't take everything and what they do take, they pay pennies for. But here is my problem. When I arrived, they told me it would be around 20-30 minutes. 45 minutes passed by and their online tracker said that my clothes were waiting to even be looked at. I was sitting in my car and went back in the store to check on them, they were still sitting in the same spot, clearly unopened. I went back to my car and in about 15 minutes, I got a notification that my clothes were done. When I went in, they told me they weren't buying anything because my clothes were "stained" and "their inventory is full"...they didn't even hand me my bag of shoes, they had no idea what it was and I had to ask for them. I just said okay and left. When I got home, it was obvious that neither bag had even been looked through. Clothes laying in there folded exactly as I had put them in. I had two pairs of BRAND NEW leggings with $110 price tags on them. None of my clothes had stains. I'm just annoyed that they made me wait for an hour to not even look at my stuff. Extremely poor customer service.

We tried to sell our clothes and they told us 20 minutes but we waited an hour and a half yet still no text so we go back and they said it was done but we didn't get a text making us waste an hour and a half. The people working there obviously doesn't know how to do their job or even act professional. Worst experience ever. Don't go. Nothing cute.

Came in to sell some clothes, instantly the girl who later checked me in had this rude energy. She could've been having a bad day so I didn't think much of it. When she asked for my ID, by the time I reached my hand out to take it from her- she dropped it on the counter while my hand was right there. After I received a notification the process was done, they took 6 items for $16. Of course I saw that they only took the high branded clothes that they're later going to overprice the hell out of. I should've known better. I ended up donating the rest of the clothes after, should've done that from the beginning to not deal with the stank attitude.

I took tones of gently used clothes different good brands. And none of them they accepted. Why? Because the style is too old for their store lol. All my clothes are from nordstrom and zara from their last collections, they are just small for me after 2 pregnancies. Do not recommend this store!
