The place has a small town feel, even while it's in a bigger city. The tellers are friendly, it seems like they enjoy working with people. The folks answering the phones are just as helpful, able to help with a loan or an account setup with ease. While I still miss my old credit union that was absorbed by Qualstar, these folks have got it together, making the change nearly transparent.

The bank associates were very energetic, and helpful. We had a trainee but she was on the ball!! Counted and recounted, double checked her inputs, and transfers. She and her trainer obviously were pumped because their “lobby music” just got fixed after months of a deserted, cricket chirping, bank lobby. Awesome people!

I give 5 stars to this branches Manager IVONNE Mendoza!! I've been in twice on two separate occasions and she is PHENOMENAL to work with. I highly recommend her for all of your financial needs. She is amazing. Shes prompted and consistent with responding to phone calls and emails. She is always going above and beyond our expectations to get us the best rates out there. Check her out you will not be disappointed best customer service experience. Highly satisfied!!

I've been banking with them for eleven years and it seems like every two years they royally mess up my account to where I loose money. While they are randomly charging overdraft fees no matter your account balance you have to call them to reverse every time and they always give you the condescending “I can reverse the charge this one timeâ€, even when it is their bad. The new one however is that I've called multiple times about my transaction history being out of order or on wrong days and not adding up to the balance I have. When I call about it they have me send screen shots to their IT desk and then never get back to you. I've talked to their main lady multiple times about my issues over the last eleven years and she always talks down to me. In 2008 I got qualstar because it was what all the tradesmen had and they were small and friendly, and everyone in Tacoma trades loved them. Now I see why everyone in my family and their buisness moved over to Sound Credit Union.

Do no mess with this place. They use a third party to process your business, so you cant even talk to someone who knows what is happening. I used them to pay my credit card bills, and when the bill was paid, I cancelled my account. They were so sketchy, I knew somewhere I would get screwed. So, even though my bill was paid in full,They continued to pay, and now say I owe them money for paying into a closed account, from a closed account.

We have been banking with Qualstar over 12+ years. Wans't till this last 24 mos. We have been hit with excessive fees so to overages, I fully understand how ach transactions work and make sure there is funds to cover but time after time I noticed the charge is deducted from the amount and also again a double deduction when it clears, on our end of things thats twice for one transaction and needs to stop, if that's how their profiting their business so many over see this happening
