“My wife Megan first met Jo Fleming by chance at a coffee gathering in Gig Harbor in 2018. We were considering moving to Gig Harbor from California at that time. In late 2019, we made the decision to start looking for a home in Gig Harbor. My wife was so impressed with the initial meeting with Jo that she flew up to Gig Harbor to ask Jo to be our agent and to have Jo show here a number of different neighborhoods.At the same time Jo started sending us listings that met our criteria. In February 2020 we told Jo that we were ready to look and bid on our next home in Gig Harbor.That all changed in March of 2020 with the pandemic. After talking with Jo, we decided to keep moving forward knowing that we would not be able to fly up to look at any potential home as the rules had all changed for in person tours of homes. We were very comfortable with this as we had developed such trust in Jo and knew she would find us the perfect home.In spite of the pandemic and the rule changes, the Gig Harbor market was on fire. Homes were being listed and sold in a matter of a few days. Jo would find a home or I would see a home online and she would jump on the listing and would be on the phone with us at the property in a matter of hours sometimes even less. She would walk through the property and shoot us a video with commentary and then we would talk some more at that time. Not the ideal way to buy you forever home to retire to. Despite all the changes going on in the market and the crazy rules we believed in Jo’s ability but more importantly we knew she understood what we wanted. We never doubted her or her dedication to finding our new home.Jo submitted 4 bids over the next few months and we lost everyone even though we had top dollar offer on two of them. The market was just crazy!Late in the spring Jo suggested we consider looking outside our comfort zone – Gig Harbor. Soon after, we saw a listing pop up late on a Friday afternoon in Olalla.As always, Jo was at the house 1st thing Saturday morning and did her video walk through with us, got an inspector on site Sunday morning, had the offer put together and submitted Sunday night. We took her advice on what price we should offer and for this home she suggested we add a personal letter to the owners. Tuesday morning Jo called and said it was our house! We found our many months later that the letter was so important to the owners and helped sway their decision to sell us the house. Another perfect suggestion by Jo! I cannot express the pure joy that we had from Jo’s call that morning.We found out when we moved to Olalla that this is a very desirable place to live. Again, that trust in Jo paid off. The value of our new home kept rising month after month. That does not really matter to Megan and I as Jo helped us find our forever home. We are not going anywhere!Jo got us here because of her desire to be the best agent for us. She worked so hard in the search for our home and spent many hours going to homes so we could get her view of our potential new home. I always knew she was as determined as we were to find our forever home. When any doubts crept in, she addressed them and reassured us and we knew we were doing the right thing working with Jo!.
