Reached out to complete some court ordered volunteer work regarding a DUI. Instantly felt judged and demoralized by Rachel over the phone. She made me feel like I was untrustworthy to perform work in customers homes because of my situation. I work for the US Navy and I'm a very honest and trustworthy person. Very embarrassing conversation to say the least. After reading other reviews it makes sense.

I had work done on my laundry drain and stove range fan. Although I’m grateful they did the work, the man who finished the job dropped a heavy tool and dented my living room floor. He also scratched my cupboard in the kitchen while he replaced the range fan.

I'm not sure if they do anything. Everyone was extremely nice and said they'd probably only perform one project which I was happy for any help. But when they came to do the inspection I was replacing the floor in the bathroom and replacing the front porch. Because of the missing floor in the bathroom and missing porch they determined that the mobile home was in too great a state of repair to perform any assistance. The man doing the inspection knew what I was actively working on and said they'd help out with one project probably. A huge waste of time and effort only to be denied. And the denial was over the top because the admin kept repeating the same thing over and over (5-6 times) and was intensely rude. They probably didn't mean it as a joke but when the only thing they said they'd do was buy a fire extinguisher I took it as a joke about burning the place down. Now they won't give a fire extinguisher. Being denied after months of work sucks but the needless rudeness was what got me.

Filled out an application which stated "Roofing" and Insulation" as a need. Got a letter back telling me that they would like to help and that they might cover part if not ALL the cost to have my repairs done. Had someone come take photos of all my damages and got a letter back from Tacoma Office saying they are unwilling to help because I told them I may have to sell my house if I am unable to repair my Roof but would like to remain in my home if possible. They went from willing to help to no help at all with no reasonable explanation. This is a horrible thing to do to someone. Giving people hope then taking it away. Some people sadly commit suicide over such things because they are in dire need. I feel cheated and humiliated and hope they do not do this to someone else. I make only $800 a month and am unable to make any major repairs and they wonder why I had to consider selling my home that I have lived in for 20 years. Shame.

They do go above and beyond. Mark and Chris were able to secure a large scale plumbing repair for us at a time when getting help from anyone was difficult due to covid-19 protocols and a myriad of other problems associated there with, an unexpected family illness left us cash strapped and due to disability we were unable to effect the repairs ourselves. It took an act of Congress and several months but 10,000 Blessing's on these wonderful caring people and all who volunteer, those of us who are past our prime are totally grateful.

I had a skylight that was leaking. They were to have covered up the skylight which required roofing work. I assumed it was completed. I started a fire in my wood stove. I was awaken by my youngest son to smoke pouring from every vent. Fire dept came had to put the fire out in my ceiling. My house stunk so bad it was unbreethable. They not only covered up my skylight but they completely covered overmy chimney and patched it up. Since then I've had on-going leaks coming from my windows. I've paid for someone to fix and check around my windows. The leaks are coming from the roof down my walls. Getting my walls floors and carpets wet. Today I received a call from Rachel she was rude and said that they would no longer help me again ever . Just to clarify. They were supposed to only have covered over the skylight. Instead they took out my chimney and covered over it. Which I had to have a new roof. They to fix the problems that they have caused.

Love, Love, Love this organization! It is amazing to see a community member being blessed by making their home safe and healthy. I have had the pleasure of participating with this organization as a volunteer for a few years and look forward to helping on my next project!!

Rebuilding Together is full of people with giant, open hearts who work tirelessly to advocate for safe housing across Pierce County and beyond. There are so many moving parts to the process that it is certainly a mission filled with emotional ups and downs. I recently served as a volunteer coordinator on Rebuilding Day, and it was such a moving experience to talk with the homeowner whose yard and porches we gave her use of again, and to also assist the volunteers whose time and specialized skills were devoted to a day of meaningful work. The needs are unfortunately so great that it's impossible for one organization to be the "whole change" that is needed, but Rebuilding Together has a strong future ahead of growth, and was even recently named the Best Nonprofit in South Sound Magazine because of the impact they've made by touching the lives of homeowners and volunteers alike.

After 4 or 5 years of begging for help, having people in our home taking pictures ect. I finally have given up. This process is demeaning and embarrassing. In tears I explained to the men sent out that if our space rental on our mobile home goes up we will be forced to move. They smiled.... You see our place looks shabby. Not the sort of quick fix they need. Very disheartened to say the least. WISH ME LUCK!Now,at almost 60 with a heart and lung condition,I get to spread roofing on my roof!
