Pharmacy staff is incredibly rude. Heard the male employee that was helping us tell the female pharmacist, complaining that they want the price for the name brand, and that they don’t understand why they filled the script. Generic Vyvanse is in back order, I get it, but that was unnecessary.

Blonde lady pharmacy tech who worked today is rude and lacks customer service skills , it’s probably because I’m a “minority” picking up a medication for a white woman. Can’t help that I’m an independent contractor and I’m just doing my job , she gave me the dirtiest looks, and when I said bye have a nice day she said “ yup”

Customer service sucks. Blindly as you walk into the store they greet you loudly and unprofessionally. No eye contact. They are just told to do that. I suspect or they get written up. When you need help you can't find it, or they can't find what you're looking for. Lastly - I realize I need ID to purchase alcohol. Maybe others don't - but when my hands are full and I'm setting beverages down - I do have to get into my purse to find my wallet before you rudely ask me to see my ID. It's not one person there - it's every single one. There is a thing of awareness to your customer. Common sense is another. I even had one lady ask my 14 year old son standing next to me to see his ID when I was buying. "I'll need to see his ID too". What??? That's some serious annoyance. Fix your staff management!!

This is my neighborhood Rite Aid. I was there last night, 6/16, at about 9:15 p.m. picking up a few things on my way to pick up my stepdaughter at work. I was near the front of the store when a group of young men came in with masks and hoods. I immediately knew that at least an attempted robbery was about to occur. I ran to the back of the store to the pharmacy to alert them to what has happening. They called the police and started to lock down the pharmacy. I was of course very scared, and I asked one of the pharmacy employees "can I come back there with you?" He looked at me and said "no, you can't." Thank God the nearby bathroom was unlocked. I locked myself in there until it was safe to come out. So just be aware, customers (I'm now a former customer) Rite Aid values the potential of liability over their customers' safety.

Terrible customer service , unqualified rude employees.I have been flat out lied to , person behind counter tells me my Dr didn't call in prescription. My Dr has confirmation that it was filled. The rude comment and smirk on the person's face behind the counter just lost Rite Aid a customer.

So I’ve been using this pharmacy for years, occasionally have problems here and there, but for the most part all right. There has been and remains and issue with people unqualified to hold their positions at this location. Over and over again have I had issues with having prescriptions set up on auto refills so that they could not be missed prescriptions that get missed for months refill request never gets sent because of lazy pharmacy technicians that feel empowered by the little tiny bit of power that Rite Aid gives. I have a text message history that goes back years showing that I have auto refill prescriptions on a continuous basis, yet somehow gets unenrolled regularly causing huge problems. you have someone with an extreme anxiety(registered disabled person) disorder trying to work through the frustration of not being able to get someone on the phone for now 6 days, there being nine pharmacy assistantsand pharmacist, but the window in the drive-through is closed at 6 PM?????? then you have someone on a power trip, force the pharmacy assistant, who is helping me albeit through my frustration, but the conversation never escalated until this specific male Arab individual (I have no idea if my Jewish ancestry is listed in my med files like the hospital), but the way this went was, this infantile man came over, overtly aggressive and proceeds to having a pissing competition with someone who is a customer, and far more inclined to escalate this issue to the highest person possible. This review is so that corporate can refer to it. When I had testicular surgery and was forced to walk into the pharmacy on a regular basis instead of using the drive-through window, which is designed for patients that need that a accommodation, not being able to be utilized, I struggled inside and never complained. If they’re not sending refill request or filling medication then what are all 9 of them doing back there? I have worked at muclarger volume pharmacies with less staff that can do the job. I would advise anyone that has the availability to find another local pharmacy, do so. Not only does this Rite Aid location not accommodate people with disabilities, it goes out of its way to alienate, and make sure people never want to return. So imagine the frustration of already having to walk inside and then to be told something that you’ve asked for it numerous times to not be done and then for someone to come over and to try to strong arm you into believing that they are right and you were wrong when I’m the one that takes the medication. Whether it be Bartels, Lincoln pharmacy, even WAL-GREENS, just go there and safe yourself the mistake of doing this. I will never step foot in a Rite Aid ever again. Neither will another member of my very large extended family. I will make sure that my dad mentioned this on his national podcast that he has. He has the uncle of George Floyd and I will make sure that every single person that I am encountering in Tacoma, knows to avoid the pharmacy with the bigoted Arab. You start talking aggressively and then get mad when you incite a reaction. Not a single moment of deescalation was had. I asked to be helped by another associate who I am more comfortable with and who knows me and my medication history and was was REFUSED. I said what I said, and I’ll say it again and it’s a megaphone from Tel Aviv. I know I will continue to make comments and escalate this to the highest person I can reach or have an attorney do so. This reeks of discrimination and I will be seeking appropriate legal advice. You simply can’t refuse service to a disabled person because you got your feelings hurt. I work in a retirement community, better backbone is needed, for that position if you can’t find a way to satisfy or apply basic customer service skills. I KNOW the entire job of a pharmacy technician is to fill pills, if you can’t do the basic task of the job, then it’s not it. I know that the pharmacy has to be recorded per dea, look at the FOOTAGE.Have a wonderful day.

They are very caring, compassionate, and will fight with the insurance company to get your meds covered or lowered. The store is always clean. You're greeted with a friendly smile and a hello when you come in.

Tring to get a hold of the pharmacy seems to be impossible. I go through the system and keep clicking the options to speak to someone in the pharmacy, get a couple seconds of music then ringing, but no one picks up and it just goes back to the system, over and over again. It is within your pharmacy hours and outside the lunch hours. Please answer your phones or improve your system to allow a call back or something.

I need RX's filled on time and that's just not happening. The store is very dirty, even by the pharmacy. They have rude pharmacy cashiers now: it NEVER used to be like that. If they get complaints about an employee, they ignore it. The store stocks very little of each item: 7 out of my last 10 trips there, I couldn't get ANYthing on my list. I used to shop there quite a bit but now go elsewhere. I've been with Rite-Aid for 20 years and have never seen the place run so slipshod before. It used to be such a great place to shop and get RX's but I can't go without my prescriptions so I'm forced to switch to the Safeway pharmacy. It's hard to switch pharmacies after so many years but I have to take care of my health and get my RX's on time.

Our family has been using this pharmacy since they opened. Joel , James and Jill are amazing . They always go out of their way to make sure things are taken care of to the best of their abilities. Kayson however is extremely rude, condescending, is always trying to rush you off the phone on the off chance that someone answers. He even had the audacity to question why my doctor was writing certain prescriptions and deny filling them causing further delay and more work for my provider. We have come many times hours past the promised time and things haven't been ready. We understand there have been staffing issues and they are doing their best . However , there is no reason for kayson and the gal who works the window/counter to be so rude. We have stuck by rite aid because Joel and James always offer such wonderful customer service and it's great to have a pharmacist who treats you like family and knows your medical history. These new employees that are back there however have us seriously considering switching pharmacies. Our family combined fills close to 30 prescriptions there a month. I could go on about the condescending and rude treatment from kayson but it seems other people have already touched on that. I asked him when a script would be ready for pick up and he snapped back at me well if I could get off the phone and stop answering your questions I could fill it. Unexceptable . If you can't be kind to the public you shouldn't work with them . Very sad that he js tarnishing the wonderful reputation of the pharmacy built by Joel and James .

S*** hole. Don't even try their drive thru pharmacy it's never open. I have a disability that makes it hard to stand and walk so I just gave up on picking up my meds since their drive thru is never available. Never using rite aid again.

Manager “Honor” treated me as if I was not a customer. I bought something, the lady didn’t give me the receipt so I wanted to return it through my card. She said its not possible which is a lie. She then proceeded to try but she entered a wrong serial number (smaller size of the lotion I got) so the return value was less. She then added 4 of them instead of just 2 then said its invalid. When I showed her a picture of the cost she said “Bullsh*t” under her breath. Horrible. Please replace her with a friendly accommodating “Manager”. WALGREENS IT IS!

Nothing is ever stocked, I can only blame this on the owners of Rite Aid, there is never anyone working that could put s*** on the shelves, this is just a shell company that is getting moved around. Thanks for being garbage.
