My windshield was hit by a flying missile on I-5 on Saturday night and I had a OEM replacement installed by Tuesday afternoon. Very easy online process to submit insurance information and get an appointment scheduled. I received a quick call on Monday to confirm the appointment, and they sent me a text on Tuesday when the technician was on his way.Michael and his helper did a phenomenal job, they finished quickly and even took the extra time to carefully remove my Good To Go pass from my old windshield and transfer it to the new one.It was a bummer to have glass damage on my otherwise pristine car, but Safelite in Tacoma made it as easy as possible to get it fixed quickly and correctly.

Over twice the price of competition.

Incredibly overpriced. They want nearly 200$ to repair a rock chip. If you drive just down the street you can have speedy glass do it for 90$

Called to get a quote and possibly schedule an appointment. The automated phone system forces you to do everything online or it hangs up on you. No in person discussion. Safelite lost a potential customer because of this.

I live in Seattle but work in Tacoma. On my drive to work a rock hit my windshield. While I was driving I called my insurance carrier and they quickly were able to book me an appointment that was open in 30 minutes. When I pulled in to the parking lot there was a tech working under a portable canopy. He saw me pull in and I could see the disgust on his face while he shook his head. That should have been a huge red flag for me to cancel and reschedule but I did not want the chip to spread and I was already there. When I entered the the lobby it was packed and by the looks on all the faces it was a disaster in there. I was second or third in line. Both of the customers before me were there to address issues from prior visits another huge red flag. As I waited and it was now my turn I waited to be called by the tech before rushing to the desk. While I waited another customer just entering the lobby walked straight to the desk while stating he had an appointment. The tech just looked at him and started to help him very well knowing he cut the line. When I saw that happen I loudly stated I think I was next to catch their attention. It looked like a manger heard me. He stepped in and checked me in on a mobile station. No one apologized and they just went about as if no big deal. I would hate to think it was a race thing but I was the only POC in the building. When the car was done I noticed the crack was still there. Maybe they filled it to prevent spread but I am no pro on glass in any way. I was just glad to be on my way. Had it not been for my insurance company sending me there I would have not ended up there. No one looked happy, employees or customers on my visit. No matter what I wont be back to this location.

My car got broken during the NYE. And I chose Safelite to fix my windows. The service and glass quality are good. The front desk is very friendly and nice. As English is my second language, sometimes I can't articulate my words clearly, but they are always patient and trying their best to offer high-quality service. They even put a temporary plastic wrap on the windows that got broken to prevent rain from getting into my car before the appointment. Good service, but I hope I will never need to come back again.

Not a good experience at all. First windshield was broken by the shop. Second one arrives and now they can’t install due to rust. So I was left with no windshield forced to drive across town in the rain with no windshield. Paid $1500 for rust remediation. Finally get the windshield installed and here we are 5 months later and we have a huge leak. They won’t touch it due to company policy. Truly a joke of a company. I will never give my business to Safelite again. Buyer beware. Oh also the older woman up front is very rude. Probably time to retire. Just a joke of a company. Buyer beware!!!!!

I took our Tacoma in for warranty service at the 2609 S Tacoma Way location. This unexpectedly led to complete replacement of our windshield which was executed professionally and quickly. It’s the after installation service that really shines and deserves kudos.Adam, the technician who did the install, parked my truck and set the parking brake as one would expect any conscientious person to do. In this instance my left rear brake had locked up and would not release. Nathan, another technician, and myself jacked up my truck, removed the wheel and spent a good amount of time coaxing the drum from the locked up brake shoes. Nathan adjusted the brake cylinder relieving the locked up shoes and my truck was mobile again. I feel it absolutely necessary to mention the temperature during all this was in the high teens to low twenties. Suffice it to say we have found our glass replacement specialists for life.

There should be a sign at the door stating that they only see customers with appointments. That way, walk-in customers don't get looked at like they're complete idiots for not having an appointment. Zero customer service. Didn't offer to help me obtain an appointment or offer a business card with a number. Nothing.

Great staff and professional service. Only downside is its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to talk with anyone at the shop due to Safelite's phone system. Incredibly frustrating to just discuss a specific need with the local shop.Removed one star due to stupid corporate phone routing but the service is great here
